Australia a week of photos from hacks like you and me

    Photo #1

Sarina, in north Queensland where love was in the air this week in the most unusual of places.

    Photo #2
Central Australia which is typically arid, semi desert land comes alive when the rains come ...
    Revolver Falls

Australia is a land of contrasts, while it's raining in the desert, we are fighting BushFires.
Below the Local Postie (Mailman) is also a farmer, firefighter and occasional cook
    Photo #3

This farmer just spent the day widening fire breaks with his tractor. Next day he fried up a batch of banana fritters for firefighters at Coominglah Forest, in Queensland.
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

Came downstairs yesterday to open the door and see the sister in law was over to show what she bought with the Christmas bonus.

    Almost knocked over me Fino.

Any Scousers on here that can teach me how to hotwire?

^^Very nice, but more to the point Luigi, think we have the first legit 'shifter' accusation of 2017 here due to the Hello Kitty sticker on your girly blue BMW.

Nice looking car but is it the 174g of CO2 per km model or the environmentally disastrous 199g per km model?

Saw this supplying two fan powered displays to promote a new condo opposite Central Lat Phrao. The whole display was immaculate and new. Really well organised.

Units start at about 3.9 Million in this block.

Not happy about the registration number being blurred out.
Come on we want it for the lottery numbers as well.
Mind you Gert using the Thai flight that turned back because of a bomb scare . TG 94 something or other.

Tops have got a fucking cheek selling these UK chavs-on-benefits staples for inflated prices to unwitting Thais who would think they are 'hiso' by buying imported western brands.

One bottle of 'mineral' water sells for about 45p (about 22baht) in UK and the coffee about 69p (about 34baht) And here they are peddling it like some kind of delicay.

    Shame on them.

    Sapphire mine, Ploy Waen, Chanthaburi

Gems varieties from mines: black star sapphires, some blue sapphires but the main production is yellow and green sapphires, which are later turned into bright yellow/orange sapphires (Butsarakam) after heat treatment usually using beryllium technology.
Mines also produce zircons, red garnets, augite (pyroxene), some old rusted objects and even few used gun bullets.

Villa supermarket stock my favourite ginger beer from UK. Never drank the shandy though, not as an adult anyway.

Took the limo to Pattaya for a day, had some stuff to drop off, luckily only on the dark side. Back by 7pm

Real good bunch of holidaymakers and their families, buying silk, eating street food and watching traditional dancing before retiring to their hotel rooms at 9pm
