A couple of vistas that sum up my weekend.

Early morning run along the river on Saturday. The sight of the fisherman mid cast inspired the shot, along with the reasonable lighting. But alas - it is, was and ever shall be, a rushed effort with an iphone.

The next is an last afternoon walk around the park — and eventually on to the Co-Op for crisps, fizzy pop and ale — with my daughters. Winter evenings are so evocative... I feel a welling in my soul.

so I arrive at the tana hotel at 11pm after transiting 4 airports - bkk was a clusterfcuk taking an hour to get through immigration and xray backscatter - then changi , which was as always nicely organised and barely 10 minutes in line to go through the xray check - then mauritius was an hour in 2 lines needed to transit , total idiocy until some one realised that the next plane would be waiting for the transit passengers if they did not expedite us - then 30 minutes at tana airport even with the vip escort because of some new fingerprint devices that take 10 minutes per person to use ( they will be broken within 6 months and not replaced - just like the thumb print scanners they got a year or 2 ago )

so I expected that my 6h40 pm flight the next day with air maybe would be cancelled and was quizzing the girl at the hotel as to what the latest info was - she was explaining to me that my flight time was now 6h40 am and I needed to leave by 4h30 - but some translation was missing and I did not realise it was AM now and not PM - so a solid nip of the duty free single malt and off to sleep and awoken at 4h45 am by a banging on my door - then a rush to the airport

on the way to the airport the driver started to tell me that the flight I was being put on was going tana - ille saint marie - la reunion - ille saint marie - toamasina - fcuk instead of a 45 minute hop to toamasina , I was being put on a 7-8 hour tiki tour via a second country - I was very close to telling him to turn around and go back to the hotel and I would stay another night and fly down with the company plane the next morning , but thought I had better just do it and get it over and done with

so after the hour of lining up and fcuking around that is the retardedness of air mad checking at tana domestic I talked to the checkin chick to determine if it was my fate to spend the next 8 hours on a ATR 72 bouncing around above the indian ocean

but no , some sanity was to previal , I would be offloaded in Ille saint marie and then picked up 7 hours later on the planes return for the 30 minute hop to toamasina

and I would not have to wait at the airport , instead I would be given a food voucher for the resort 500 meters away on the beach

so needless to say the time was spent pleasantly with food , beer , rhum and pleasant resort staff eye candy and as you see from the photos below , some rather civilized surroundings

though as ille saint marie is a euro tourist island the beer and rhum prices left a little to be desired but all in all it was acceptable

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

I think Baldrick is referring to the bottle of "Queers Beer" and the two glasses of it.

I have posted other photos of the beautiful women that inhabit this island - youtube radio paridise gasy and check out malagasy music videos to see some of the stunning eye candy and the ways these gasy stunners can shake their vody

Yet more bling acquired by the wealthy which will make it increasingly difficult to let go of when they try to pass through the 'needle's eye' into the eternity of the end.

Big making merit day today first feed the monks (they will need a big truck to take away the loot) then release fish into the river.

They pour the bags of fish into the blue trough then they slide down the pipes into the river.

^I got stung on the back by one of those coonts on NYE. Not very painful but very unlucky as it was the only one in the water. Didn't see another one all day. Coont sneaked up behind me.

2 days later and my back now has a line of red itchy spots which are hard to reach except luckily I have back-scratcher claw on a stick from e-bay.
