My new Canon 55-250mm IS

This is a crop from the long end with subject 1.5 metres away.

Trying to take a photo of a thistle and the auto-focus picked up a tiny bee instead!



I have only been playing with this lens for a few hours but it is like day and night compared to my crappy old 55-200mm

I took it on my phone, transfered it to my computer, uploaded it to photobucket and hotlinked it (Don't tell cornholio)to here.

I do the same, have you noticed how they are slightly bigger than the other pics on here though

Get over yourself. Linking to a pic hosting site is rather different to hotlinking to random web images as you advised GD to do:

Right click on it.
select 'copy image lcation" click on the picture icon that Dillinger helpully and oh so clearly pointed out.
backspace/delete the 'http' there so you don't double up. Click paste. Click OK. done.

Good effort.. I couldn't get a green hue in the grass without skewing the rest of it.

Thanks for trying you guys. I have one more of me in the surf in Ras Tanura, another American community other than Dhahran, which at that time had 5,000 people. Abqaiq where I really grew up and the port of Ras Tanura had like 2500 by 1963 when I sadly left.

Neo, that is probably close to right. Back then it was a duplex, one of the kids was born a week before the other. Both are still close friends. Neither of us knows what happened to the girl.

I managed a neutral tone and contrast, but couldn't do more. Looks sepia.

I would say Photoshop. It ain't rocket science.
