Lobster like crabs and clams should be alive when put into the pot for steaming. Steaming as opposed to boiling is the preferred method as it cooks up a more tender lobster and preserves the ocean fresh taste of lobster.

By the way, in selecting a lobster to purchase to steam, pick one that looks angry and raises it's claws as this is the one that is more fresh.....

chicken meat is also more tender, when the chicken is steamed alive...

but the lobsters and crabs cant scream, make unwanted noises, or fight in pain...

Just good light really the phone is not renown for it's camera. Right angle right light.
Took some others along the coast that were really poor.

£25 to get into the historic dockyard these days.. seems a lot but you get to clamber all over the Warrior and the Victory.. think I'll make a day of it next year, but the view of the Warrior from Portsmouth Hard was good enough that day.

We're looking forward to the painting Nigel and have a nice spot for it

    Still must finish that thread...
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

    Few pictures of New York.

Coney Island (Nathans and Coney Island beach/pier, last warm day this year in New York)

Today’s Columbus Day Parade [Mayor Bloomberg and some beauty queen (?) and a couple of other shots of the parade]

Yesterday we went for a drive in The Gatineau Hills and I spotted this nice little private plane and I had to stop and take a shot of it. I also loved how the sun was reflecting off the water and showing the nice lily pads happily floating before the big freeze comes.

Sounds like a good ratio for pictures of that quality.
