They are freinds but not close ones, they did give me flowers for my birthday last year though and ring up sometimes. Thai entertainers can be very touchy as an American found out who produced a very famous morlam singers album a few years ago. He toured with her for months all over the country, then went to live in Japan. Without asking he started to promote her there, only to receive death threats from her record company. Hate to think what they would have done if he have been slagging her off! TIT

Red scam today-buggers Saw these 'VCD''s being snapped up by Thai Red supporters so I had one, meant to be full of pic. When I got home it is just a blank disc! I should have gone for one of the bullets, those big uns look like nasty things

After doing “tumbon” today on Songkran, I took a drive 2 miles down the 2 lane coconut lined road from the house to Phala Beach, Ban Chang, Rayong, Thailand to take a few pictures. Phala is just a small fishing village with a nice clean swimmable local Thai beach. This photo was taken looking West. The mountains in the distant background are of the Samersan peninsula. U-Tapao Airport boundary is to the right in this picture. U-Tapao Airfield was used by the US used during the VN War to fly B52 bombers in and out of and the Samersan peninsula housed the US Ordinance Depot for the bombs used on the B52s. U-Tapao is a commercial International Airport now as well as a Thai Air Force Base. Anyway, the beach has recently been blessed with lots of new sand and the umbrella and food vendors keep it fairly well maintained. I find it to be a lovely beach as there are virtually no tourists and during the week it is practically empty.
