Absolute muppets
^ Apparently not. Where you headed that required a trip down such a "road"?
$10 says his aboriginal bit on the side.
Well done Katie, you'll soon be match fit for Nepal...got to be on your list. Some of the Valleys in Eastern Nepal take a day to cross, that can be a bit soul destroying when you are crossing but you get a real sense of achievement. What have you got in the pack?, looks like you are smuggling a sloth.![]()
^thanks for the repost, TC!
@toot - Lol abt the sloth. I carried a small black garbage bag, containing trash/rubbish, as we were supposed to take our trash down with us.
As for my backpack, it contained clothes, toiletries, trail food & water, a fleece jacket, sleeping essentials (light blanket + tarp). I didn't bring a tent (slept in a team mate's tent). Some of my team mates brought sleeping bags.
It was my first time to climb with a "full pack" and not just a small day pack. The weight of the pack added to the difficulty. First time to hike O/N and sleep in a tent. (My post Xmas climb, we slept in a school). My legs still ache until now - it's painful to descend stairs!
I'll update my hiking thread when I've got more time - took lots of pics.

Took this one yesterday as I was surveying the possibility of ice fishing. I got the itch as I haven't got out much this winter.
Fish, looks like you have lots of free range food close to home.
