don't know where you are . . .
Atlas: Sengho have A4-size student atlas books for about 250-300 baht I regularly give them to friends' kids.
also big wall maps approx 1.2mx1m, 4'x3' for under 300 that are in Thai/English.
I have one (where else) on the wall here in our living room, adults and kids who visit often head straight for it; once they get over the shock of this country's size in relation to eg China, Canada etc it's quite an attraction as I've got little post-it stickers showing where I'm from, other countries I've visited, where my family is scattered around the world.
As for a globe, i hadn't considered that, maybe as step #2, for now the world can remain flat. Though one girl thought it extremely funny that New Zealand was banished to the bottom rh corner - like wearing the dunce's cap and being sent to stand in the corner!
Know I've mentioned this in another post, but a friend's wife tells people I'm from 'Landland' - 'you know, all the land places Ireland, England, Switzerland' and so on. All the same, aren't they?
Can't get a serious face on long enough to offer a correction, and husband (an Englander) said don't even try.
