Baseball has spread throughout the world, particularly in Asia. At one time the US dominated the baseball world. Not so anymore. The "World Series" played in the US no longer represents the world's best teams.

The World Baseball Classic is where the best teams in the world are determined. Japan won this year. The US didn't make it to the finals where Japan took on Korea.
