If the Red's start shooting and the Army begins to mow then down and there is mayhem in the streets in the Land of Coups, what will you do? Where will you go? What will you do to pass the time whilst the battle rages?

It was a lot worse in the early 90's and when they started mowing people down in the streets of Bangkok.

The only worry I have is whether the big man has enough power and support now to do his Moses thing and to calm the masses.

Business will carry on and as I work on the outskirts of Bangkok I probably will carry on normally.

Pop some corn, chug back a few frosted beverages, and hope there's some good action on my street. Fresh batteries in the camera.

If the worst comes to the worst I'll do the same as I did in my first coup. 10 Pack of beer in the front garden with a machete and a left handed 3 wood.

Happens to me also and on the eve of every coup here in LOS.

If the kawa is up to it, a moped ride to Malaysia is the only feasible alternative. Or the Aussie navy turning up to row us somewhere one at a time (women and children first of course)

I believe the op had a serious question.

In my first and only coup i didn't know what to expect. A coup to me meant blood shed and then a lack of the law and total chaos. When it happened it wasn't that big a deal but whilst it was happening it was a scary thought. The tv communication was cut, my police presence was non existant (they normally cruise my street once an hour) and things were looking scary. Once i saw the army getting ice cream from the locals to keep them cool we all relaxed.

But that doesnt mean it couldn't go the other less peacfull way.

How would you handle a full on looting coup if it happened in your neigbhood? would you take to the front or would you passivly let them have thier way. Not that its going to happen.
