    Just curious...

What did this lady do? She has been in the BKK Post for the past week or so. According to the article she worked here.

^ Seen a few like that before.

Various people being denounced by companies as not working for them.

My mate had to do it to his own father who was trying to bankrupt the company again.

Pretty standard practise everywhere, particularly if the employment ended in acrimonious circumstances (e.g. the person was fired). It's just the Co. covering their collective arse so if the person were to do anything damaging they can point and say: 'look, nothing to do with us'.

Never seen it in the UK. The ex-employer would probably get sued for defamation of character.

Few years ago i paid insurance for 5 people, received the AXA receipt luckily...

We had to go abroad and needed insurance certificate to do so, i tried find the agent, disappeared ! Went to AXA and they said, we have no insurance what so ever with them !

The guy just kept the money, but AXA returned all to us as luckily we had the pay slip...

Most prolly such guys - agents - go on the newspaper as per the OP...

Yeah I have seen plenty of those, rather nasty business.

Without wanting to go into too much detail, I have had dealings with Lebua, a rather shady bunch. Well, two individuals in particular, at the top level.

I would probably guess that this lady didn't do too much IMO, Lebua are, again IMO, shyters.

It could only be libellous were it not true; disassociating yourself from an individual is highly unlikely to pass any sort of libel threshold.

It's most commonly done when the person had some area of responsibility that could conceivably cause damage to the Co. An accountant for instance; to ensure that no further transactions are conducted in the Co. name at their behest.
