Surely you realise that you've just answered your own question?

One set of Muslims is polite and gentle and another set of Muslims FROM A DIFFERENT AREA is rude and arrogant.

It's the culture that they're brought up in, not the religion, that makes the difference.

That'll go down well with all those with Thai wives living in the UK and those who were born in the UK but have never had a passport at all.

You really are living in a different world, aren't you. Where is your head? Don't answer that, we all know.

Smithson is filthy scum and the worst that Britain has to offer.

    Tud is merely trolling.

What a brilliantly incisive conclusion. Should we also consider invasion... of somewhere.

I think you could filter it down to counties, if not cities.

That may be but I don't think that the Asian population of Birmingham has increased by 250% in 7 years.

    ^ Don't know, don't care.

    I lived there for a couple of years 1998 - 2001.
Taught in the heart of the city, lived there. Hated it.
It was horrible then and might be worse now.
It wasn't so called "immigrants" that made it bad it was the complete and utter lack of human kindness, and inate despair.
On the streets, in the schools, the pubs, anywhere you went people seemed scared and, consequently aggressive.
Hopefully it's changed for the better now.

No matter what is said - it is the extremists in the religion that bring the majority down, or the pc correctness of stupid officials. Unfortunately it is these people that seem to rise to the higher escelons of power, and it is their thought that they can then dictate to the masses.

The rags need to spend less time worrying about Muslim lunch breaks and focus on some of the very real issues that are effecting the citizens.

BBC NEWS | Business | Breaking the cycle of child poverty

1 in 4 children in the UK lives in poverty (stat from 2005 news report). The death rate is significantly higher for babies born in poverty too I read just recently, something like double the chance of death in the first couple of years.

All this in a rich developed country like the UK and all people can do is spout uninformed nonsense about Muslims. Led and fueled as ever by the rags.

Well I suppose there's a bit of a chicken and egg argument there. Is media not a little guilty of dumbing down the populace? Could they not be blamed for inciting hate?

Anyway, an argument for another day because off to bed now.

Sorry Jet. Here in the UK we don't have the obsession with lefties and righties and country stealing that you on the other side of the Pond have. It's quite ironic that the citizens of a country consisting completely of immigrants have the gall to lecture us on immigration.

My job takes me into small businesses every day, many of them owned by British Muslims. I once asked one of them about the 'why don't you dob in the extremists' question. He pointed that he was a shopkeeper with a wife and two kids and knew just as many muslin extremists as I did.
Absolutely nothing to add to that, just thought it was such an astute post that it deserved bumping.*

*And I'll also probably nick it for future use.
