I always find the restuarant at Foodland good value, and you see the food being prepared in front of you.

The Gyoza was a good choice Tud, but I never liked those croquette things they do there, the salmon ones are nice but in two bites they are gone and that's 150 baht down the drain.
Actually with Fujis there is some crap on the menu and some great dishes too, so you have to know what to order to get a decent meal for your money. You want to get on some of the Sushi dishes next time.
I wouldn't worry about the mobile phones too much, it's pretty much a fast food joint after all. Same with the kids running around, it's a family place, not an exclusive restaurant.

Fuji...
Hard life innit.![]()
It's tough at the top.
We often go to the Fuji at Tescos, Rama 4. It's always rammed but they kick people out pretty quickly.
I like the croquettes, but yes, you need twice as many for the money.
Never been to a Fuji's. On the basis of this, not going.
Thanks for the heads-up ET!
Fuji is good, the lunch sets are great value for money, I would guess I eat there at least 3 times per month.Originally Posted by bkkandrew

My kids would always say Fuji before McDonalds.
They'd even ask for MK before McDonalds.
That's their credibility blown.

^ You'd better start feeding them beef somehow Bob. It's the most important one of the 4 essential food groups; beef, pork, sausages and pies.
Next you'll be telling us you don't cook with lard or beef dripping at home.

Had a terrible experience with Chesters Grill, newly opened in Phetchabun. All microwaved, non existant service, untrained staff and over priced. A complete joke. The "meal" came in bits and pieces over 30 minutes and had to remind them of what we ordered. It was actually quite funny but for the price we could have done great just sitting in a roadside shack. This is in the new Tesco/ Big C. there are a couple of others that are just as bad. MK- 1000b for little more than a bowl of noodles for 4 people. Give me a break. At least the pizza co. have staff that have been trained.
Fahn Cahn's
What the hell do you order???MK- 1000b for little more than a bowl of noodles for 4 people
We have a regular work group who go, usually about 6.
For less that 1000THB we usually leave stuffed, plates of moo daeng, duck, dim sum, and a great healthy hot pot.
You cook it yourself with your own ingredients. What can go wrong?

The fact that MK somehow suck all the flavour out of their food before giving it to the customer to cook?Originally Posted by Bobcock

MK's roast duck is good though.

Fuji and MK are fine for a quick lunch. And for the money they charge. It is ok.
Still better than eating at McDonald or KFC.
I eat at Fuji at least once a week. Mk once a month.
bladdy good, and noodles Bami. (the thin green ones!)Originally Posted by Frankenstein
To me, Zen is a better "chain" restuarant than Fuji. Also Fuji is always fucking packed. I hate waiting for a table when there isn't a bar to wait at.
The Sizzler at Fashion Island here in BKK is pretty good. Usually not too crowded, I can check the ladies out going to the movie theater and can get out of there in less than 45 minutes if I order something other than the salad bar.

you know the saying...if ya wan it done right

When you say "yourself" you really mean "my date/gf/wife" right? I only tolerated MK because the shorty did all the cooking while I just stuffed my gob.Originally Posted by Fabian

I hope at least you told her what to cook for you.
