Any recommandations, the best bar?
I went On My Motorbike last night to The Eastender Bar, I think it used to be the Albatross bar. I had a great time, and the staff were very friendly. The New manager (Yung) makes a mean cocktail. New Snack menu and sofas are a nice touch, and I hear they have a Pool table coming in upstairs this week. One of the Best Bars in East Pattaya in my opinion.

I took a ride down Sio country club 2 months ago.
If you keep going past a heap of over head power lines like a massive sub station out in the sticks you will come to a restaurant on the right hand side made for farang.
It's an outdoor style dining with huts and big billboard signs out front with pictures of perfectly BBQ steak with the blackened grill marks on the meat.
I checked it out during the day time if I liked something I was going to go back at night. Using Garmin streets of Thailand to research some of the bars on my GPS. The only thing I saw that the GPS took me to looked like typical Thai karaoke bars other than that restaurant I saw fuck all.
Saying that there is a nice looking short time rooms at the start of Country club so why would that be??????
^ Think it's that Yung girl that owns it Marmers.
I'm gonna give Dave the benefit of the doubt on his 1st ever post here, even though he knows the managers name, the new snack menu plus when and where the new pool table is going to set-up.
Black diamonds? I shit 'em.
How up to date is this as there seems to a new bar daily
Smells very spammy for a first post doesn't it.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog

With regards to the OP's map you could quadruple the bar numbers.
But divide by 10 the ones worth visiting.
Also depends daily due to who turns up for work and what time you arrive at the bars.Originally Posted by Kurgen
They could reduce the number of bars by tenfold and still have spare seats.
a bar a day keeps the doctor away
Its the Albatross Bar/Club/Bistro/Restaurant next to wobbly's, Old matey who owned Albatross got banged up selling under age snatch.
The German owner of a Bar located in East Pattaya is at the center of a human trafficking and underage prostitution case following an undercover operation at the bar on Friday. Police Lieutenant General Panya, Region 2 Police Commissioner led a press conference at Banglamung Police Station to announce the arrest of Mr. Heinrich Lutz Meyer aged 61 and his Thai wife, Khun Tipaporn aged 34, the joint owners of the Albatros Club in Soi Kao Noi in East Pattaya. Undercover Foreign Operatives were sent into the bar and paid 2,500 Baht in exchange for sexual services of a 17 and 14 year old girl. The marked bank notes were handed over and Police then moved in and found further underage girls working at the bar. Both owners were charged with a variety of offences including providing minors for sexual services and the case will now go to Court.

I sat in the Eastender Bar and spoke with the manager about the set up. That's how I know, I'm sure if you went down she would tell you the same.
I went before ages ago, but didn't like that German guy. Saw the name had changed so I went inside..That's it.
Was thinking of moving to Pattaya from Bangkok, so was checking all the forums to see what the crack was.
Yes its next to Wobbly Bar, which is also a chilled place. I also went to the Red Lion , and a small Thai place.
Good Trip all round...
I have had a number of friends and business associates in town of late, and based upon our visits to the bars I can confirm that the police crackdown on underage prostitution has been successful as most of the girls working in the bars on Kao Noi are older than my mum.Originally Posted by Fondles
Anyway I thought all forms of prostitution was illegal here in Thailand.

Well it's good that the darkside scene is thriving, because mrs sab is down there at the moment renting out our house- apparently the traffic is so bad, getting to downtown Pattaya from the darkside is a bladdy nightmare these days. Same reason our previous tenants moved out too- they have a business in Pattaya, and getting there from Mabprachan was just getting worse and worse.
It seems rumours of Pattaya's demise were well wrong- au contraire, the place is choking up.
^Nern Plub Waan as unbearable when i left Dec 2008, hate to think what its like now traffic wise.
The traffic this side of Sukhumvit is still OK mate and getting around is quite easy.Originally Posted by buriramboy

I keep well away for the most part.
The dark side is getting lighter and the girls are getting fatter.
