I think Consistent moderation, post deletions or moves to MKP before shit gets out of hand or serious threads get trashed, isolating problematic users to MKP and plain ol'd peer pressure can work. Except the "consistent" thing I think this forum has grown because the law has not need to be laid down nor have there been many bannings.

TeakDoor ain't no small town no more, Dorothy. Wityh growth will come the banal, the troll, the stupid fucking questions. There's a helluva lot of seasoned forum trolls posting here on a regular basis keeping trolls to a minimum, most get their covers pulled and dumped in a hot minute.

As TD keeps growing some of the banter of the old boys might get lost in the din. Still there, just harder to find. Was a time I'd click new posts and the whole page was what was happening that day/week. Now the first three pages need monitoring. And if you're not online for 6 - 8 hours you need to check threads that interested you in your subscribed threads list. It's great, yeah more shit you're not interested in. There's still plenty of interestin' stuff goin on.

There's been a few members who have re-invented themselves with new nics even during my short stay here behind the Teak Door.

Some I imagine have valid reasons, others mostly to kill off a cyberspace character which they have created and have found too hard to handle and stand behind.

I'll just stick with my original log-in and continue to wear protection!

Kind of doubt Sir burr would have reinvented himself as anyone. See he still posts on TV though, perhaps he just got a bit bored of all the shitfests in TD?
