Where I live everyone knows everyone and my wife doesn't want me to speak bad about her friends, irrespective that they are bad. Not a Thai thing to do.

OK, my last post was a little tongue in cheek, as I couldn't see any way of stopping her carrying on, without being ridiculously restrictive - more so than anyone would put up with (although Scampy's idea was good!)

But I think if you're not willing to upset your wife by telling the truth about these girls, then I agree with TheTyim, you should tell her not to involve you, and say nothing to these guys. Just don't allow your wife to involve you in this. Deep down, she'll probably respect you taking a stand on it without making her lose face.

Ivor, mind your own damn business. Unless it's a relative or good friend you see getting fucked over just leave well enough alone. 99% of the fuckers won;t listen.

There are girls all over the country earning 30, 40k from one, two, three, four, even five or more, boys back home. Each. Who in the hell are you to interfere? The men don't really want to know, it's a fantasy they're living out, stupidly.

The families will see you as a threat to their bread and butter. The men will get upset with you and run to their tilac with stories of your stories. Maybe they'll want to fight.

That sweet smile you're used to at the local mini-mart when you buy your daily ration of beer and cigarettes will suddenly disappear. The helping hands around the moo-baan will suddenly find other things to occupy themselves.

Butt out, mind your own fuckin business. Have a beer, talk about the weather or how peaceful the moo baan is/ain't. Avoid them altogether if need be. Don't try and convince the guy he's being a sucker, he doesn't want to hear it. Do not endorse or condemn some guy's sweet bundle of joy. To do otherwise will only earn you enemies; on both sides.

If I was seeing a girl that said she worked for Thai airways, but was actually a Pattaya prostitute with several benefactors and I was planning changing my life because of my erroneous beliefs, I would bloody well expect to be told by someone in the know.

Whether I believed it or not is neither here nor there.

I understand 100% your view, but people think with there arse when they are in love, I've seen it so many times, and my experience with telling the truth, never go down well.

Why would someone that never met you but lived in the moo baan with that girls family in fact the family of a few girls with benefactors be obligated to give up his comfortable life to educate you?

And really, how would you react to some complete stranger telling you the one you love is a low-down dirty hustler with a stable of fools such as yourself? how would you react to this complete stranger meddling in your affairs? You might want to know, I can tell you most men will react quite badly to this information. Only a fool would step up, get in the middle of anyone's love-life and make accusations. That's what I was going to say.

I know that Ivor is between a rock and a hard place on this, but he still has to live in the village after these fuckwits have left. He doesn't owe anything to them just because they have the same colour skin. He probably should side with the local girls if forced into making a choice, but go with the middle path mate; I know it's not easy, you being a decent chap.

Yes, I lost a good friend of 25 years by telling him what his 'tilac' was up to, she even offered me a discounted short-time - which I politely declined. Should have gone for it and taken some pics.
