(and we are staying at my parents house in Aus for xmas, i think my mother suspects something cos the missus has been throwing up everyday, and, of course, had to stop smoking and drinking...)

My experience is that Asian women who drink and smoke are usually the ones to avoid. If she has a tattoo as well then you are really fokked.
