Spark plug? Undo the large nut that holds the rear shock absorber on. Pull off the rear shock and allow the bike to "sit" . This will lower the front of the engine. Grovel on the ground on the RHS at the front of the engine and you will see the spark plug lead. It has a small -16mm wrench- spark plug not the regular lawn mower size.

What year is it? Carburetor of Fuel injection. 2008 or later is F.I. If it is an early one it has a vacuum fuel tap.

You should be able to kick it and press the starter button at the same time.

PS. Buy some FAB laundry detergent and a hose pipe and give the bike a good clean. It will make everything much more pleasant.

    Followed these directions and....

This bolt came off surprisingly easily.

Propped Lil Pinky (Future title) onto me flower pot spanner holder... and what is that??

White Fokin' gold, ladies and gentlemen.

    White. Fokin'. Gold.

Some on here are apparently correct and me flower pot is one spanner short of a full set. And that spanner is of course number 16.

    See ya tomorrow morning Thaiwatsadu.

If this actually comes back to life with the help of some TDer's, I might not go for pink and give it to Teeny, but keep it for meself and make it a one-of-one TD scooter, spray it in TD colours, one mirror green, one mirror red for the famous repo, red for starboard/right, green for port/left? A gray nose in tribute to the Chicos, Backspins and Lato-Dancers amongst us.

White decals with 'fok kvnt cockwomble shiz' down the side.

No, exactly wrong, but I have a feeling you knew that.

There's a really easy way to remember...

Port is red, along with Mont Clair.

    Actually not.

My dad had a yacht when I was growing up. Not a big expensive one, I remember it was 30 feet or 30 meters, had an old rickety diesel engine that thinking back may have been sourced from a 1950 soviet military truck - loud and stinky. He sailed from Europe to New York via The Azores with 2 buddies when I was 5. His love of rock climbing, mountain biking and desire for reproduction at every opportunity were passed on, being thrown about inside some old, wet, creaking cabin to the scent diesel fumes less so.

Anyway, cheers. Good to have the correct information. It may have quite silly with the red and green mirrors on the wrong way round. :-)

    S01E02

    Synopsis.

In an effort to create a rather pathetic TD Mobile, protagonist Ed goes to buy the correct tools for the job, while hoping to replace the spark plug to see how well she sucks, blows and bangs when treated to some TLC.

But will it go to plan for the rather mechanically inept rapscallion....

Early morning rise n shine to be first in line at TWSD.

Passed on the Bsnub Breakfast Special in favour of some proper breakfast.

A smile, a quick friendly chat, a size 16 spanner, 8 and 10 hex nut long thingies, a can o' Dub-Dee 40, fresh oil and a denial of Line request later and I'm out the door.

Why do some drinks stands not have a lil box or bin to put the straw plastic into.

Surely after seeing 100 customers remove said plastic and look around the sale's counter for one everyday the baht should drop, right.

Cost of restoration thus far: 614thb.

Got back to me ranch and didn't even head inside. Made a beeline directly to Lil Pinkie, tools in hand.

Like a hot knife through butter this long thingie just glided through the job with zero resistance.

    Resulting in a vista of:

The size 8 was a lucky guess and these just flew off.

    And my first messy moment.

Might as well unscrew the radiator cap now that it's accessible, the day after filling up the coolant rezo directly above it.

Learn by doing. Nothing a scrub of mild PH baby soap wouldn't clean off.

If I'm not mistaken, I can adjust the throttle idling speed from what I presume is called the throttle body, now that there is easy access to it?

Time to hit up Mark Hughes. Ol' Sparky.

Not the easiest spanner-operation to work with.

Thought that I should have bought a 16 long hex thingie, but that wouldn't fit over the spark plug to get to the bolt area. Will need some maneu... position adjustment to tighten the new SP in.

I believe a lot can be read from the tip of a spark plug, the colour and condition etc.

    How's she looking?

Tomorrow's a work day, gotta head to the recently vacated house, clear out some left behind junk, clean it up and try to get it back on the market before the end of the month, so today is the day to hopefully get it running well, then all the frames and engine parts scrubbed washed and cleaned so it's nicer to work on. A full Nuru sesh.

This part really is the open heart surgery operation, once she's starting and moving as should, it's just a few nips n tucks I rex - new fork springs n seals, new tires, new brake pump something or other as they seem to have be splashing out whatever oil is in them, then the cosmetics. Onwards and upwards. *fist*

Though of course it may need a new clutch sys.

It may or probably does need a new belt but as you don't have a clutch holder tool in the flower pot take it to Honda or the busiest workshop near you.

Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?

    ^ Cheers VN.

In and out like a sour plum.

5 seconds and 80 baht later I've got a new sparkie.

    Some difference.

Installed as best as the odd angles allowed.

Rear shock put back in place and time to kick on, so to speak.

    Fully charged battery - check.

    New spark plug - check.

    Air flow okay - check

    Oil and Coolant - check

Ignition on, side stand up, brake lever pulled - check.

So it should turn over, right.....

    So close but yet sofa.

This is where I hit a brick wall.

    Help a bruva out.

With all of that check list checked, what would cause it to chug and stutter and fail to start in such a manner?

    Cheers.
