Lucky you didn't have holy bags as well!

And I'm not here all week, before you ask. We escape to Ol' Blighty next week.

We passed this on the way to school this morning... a bit perplexing to be honest... well, in a normal country anyway. Pretty much par for the course in this mad house.

And while I'm on the subject... another bemusing accident we passed last week on the way home from school... in a busy, built up area... but again, not unusual around here.

I used to wonder how they managed it... until I lived here for around 12 minutes. Now I wonder how most of them actually get home alive each evening.

Did he write him a parking ticket? I don’t think you’re allowed to park on top of other cars.

^^that is a bizarre amount of damage to the white saloon compared with the old truck. Even its side skirt panels have come off and the front wing looks like tin foil shredded off a donner kebab

She came up to my shoulders in her high heel boots but opted to go back to her car for sequinned sandals for an actual stroll along the beach.

Not really dark-as-sin skin, but the dark pigmentation seems to vanish after only half a generation of dominant whitey invasion-day alleles

Trying to get this Asian lady's legs in before she exited stage right caused my horizon some issues

But I redeemed myself with a nicely dappled meadowesque sunset shot

^ What's the white thing in the gravy?

Great Yarmouth used to be the centre for peas in the UK, but now it's Lowestoft.

I try to make these trips educational for the daughter but I have to admit that she's just not interested at times.

Despite the sign for visitor parking there was no obvious way in, which was a shame. I wonder if you have to make a booking beforehand?

    Lowestoft Beach.

And if you're wondering what those two mini offshore platforms are doing there...

    ... so was I.

Apparently they're kittiwake hotels. The seabirds are provided with an alternative to nesting on people's rooftops and shitting down their walls.

It looks like the hotels are working. I only spotted two birds on the beach.

In the middle of nowhere between Sheffield and Manchester.

Was going to explore it more but there was a Polish car and a few caravans in the grounds so gave it a swerve.

A couple of days ago I saw what I can only describe as a 'novelty bin' of Chang to mark the Euros.

Apparently there were 51 games, and the bin contained one can for every game.

    Finish your cans et voila!

Today (Saturday July 20th) is race day in Pattaya >> 5Km, 10Km and Marathon as well. I was up early at 6am for my daily brisk walk along the beach promenade. Although the photo looks dull and rainy, in fact the rain had stopped and the weather was cool with a light breeze, ideal for a race/jog.

Judging from the runner numbers, there were about 5,000 participants, from very young to old, also quite a few wheelchair participants. This fun run seemed well-organised, with regular water stations, mobile toilets, marshals, police, photographers and first responders on bicycles every km with AEDs for those whom the race was too much.

Unlike the London Marathon, where many people dress up as bananas, dinosaurs etc, I only saw one fancy-dress costume - a very tall LB in a dress that would put Princess Di's wedding dress to shame!

The lady's aerobics group, who usually work out on the promenade, turned their loudspeaker towards the runners and became cheer-leaders for the event. In fact, there were many groups of such people, mostly schoolkids, with pom-poms and rara skirts, encouraging the runners.

All-in-all a fun event, and I think there is another race tomorrow (Sunday) morning
