Carnforth railway station, Lancashire, where the movie "Brief Encounter" was filmed. Maybe missing the refreshment room?
The missing item was the clock. Even though it is a replacement, I went to see the clock.
The tea room was quite busy for a weekday morning so I guess there are other pilgrims too.
According to the tea room lady, the clock has been taken away for unknown reasons and there is no promised date for its return.
Walked back to Lancaster along the canal, a fair hike on a beautifully sunny October day.
Brief Encounter has to be amongst the top ten British films ever.
I'll be honest, I've never even heard of it.
Will look it up some time.
On the water yesterday, 100b/hr for a double kayak

Sukhumvit Rd #3 facing south, from here through Chanthaburi and Trat.
Taken from the recently completed overbridge at Ta Jui, hadn't noticed the pedestrian/cycling underpass before, and unsure the purpose of the little observation tower. Traffic police maybe. Or cyclists' drink station.

No prob. It's properly loaded. Never fall off.
It hasn't stopped snowing for almost 2 weeks.
I saw a young woman get hit by a big clump of snow yesterday while she was - Darwin award right here - stood behind these little barriers. Fortunately, she escaped the worst.
Someone has a macabre sense of humour.
The immediate prettiness of snow soon wears off when you have a life to live and things to do outside the house although you can't beat a pint of dark beer (5.7%!) in a cosy pub when it gets nippy!
