Here it is 12:00 Monday, the end of the weekend for Pooly.
Time to reflect!
"How was your weekend Pooly?" you ask.
A bit special, I have to say.
I feel like I've visited the ajarn/teakdoor Hall of Fame.
I met up with some of our most respected posters.
I feel honored to be a part of a truly wonderful community that is Teakdoor.
Finished work sunday at about 2 o'clock and wandered down to the afterwork for some nine-ball practice. Thought I'd give Marmite a call and lucky me, he's down at the Landmark with Goddess and Memock!!
I quickly joined Teakdoor's 'most enviable couple' and met the Great Aussie Legend himself and I certainly wasn't dissappointed.
Memock is prolly the most genuine person you'd ever meet. My feelings about Aussie's is fairly well known but is someone wanted to find a 'true blue dinkum Aussie' who lives up to the fable of an 'all round great guy' look no further than Memock.
It was a pleasure (even though I had to settle my long standing bet of 1,000 baht from over 2 years ago)
Mamers and GoW had to head off to rugby practice so I accompnied memock to the Bull's Head to rendezvous with the Captain who was in Bangers on business. A few beers there led to making tracks back to Pratunam to find lodgings for the Cap and then we said farewell to Mockers who was off to tend to his sick daughter.
The Cap and I headed off to Afterwork for a bevvy or 30 and unfortunately Wally couldn't make it out, again!
Back home for the night and you'd think "Great day off Pooly, take it easy tomorrow then?"
Not a chance. It's sort of official now. Pooly's getting hitched in May.
I can't say no to my girl can I? Well only if she asks me if I've been with another women, but, you know what I mean.
So in the morning, feeling somewhat tender, i met up with the Cap and thought I'd show him the sights of down town Pratunam.
Yep, an hour in panthip and then off up the Baiyoke for a squizz at Bangkok's skyline. I loved it, but I always do, but the thrill was having a MaiTai in the bar and wondering if I could get the waitress to bend over, just a little bit more cause she weren't wearing a bra. (Nah, I never change)
"Had enough Pooly?" you venture.
Not this weekend. Nope there's time for one more surprise.
"Let's go se Ken" says Cap.
Well what can I say? otters have met the man but their reports don't do him justice.
KK, thanks for a ripper night. You are de man.
Folks, if you get the opportunity to meet KK don't pass it up.
He's viewed as the doyen of the visa but he truly is the King of Hospitality.
A really great guy.
Well, I farked now.
Marmite
The Goddess
Memock
Captain Sensible
Kenkanniff
and not forgetting Ying, Cookie, Mam, Nut, Sophie, the girl in the dodgy massage joint, the girls on the bus, the girls not on the bus and my girl.
You lot made a fantastic weekend for me and I still haven't had sex.
Anyway off to beddies now coz the missus is gagging for it.
TeakDoor........it's not just a forum........it's a family. (and Wally's the granny!!)
You are de man, Pooly!
;-)

Wonderful post poolie. The very best of luck to you with your upcoming nuptials......Is Gow Marmite's missus?
Anyhow, last night I was very drunk on Absolute raspberry vodka mixed with undiluted orange squash - very tart!
Who deleted my post. Please PM me with a reason.
Thanks Pooly (and you left too much money...grrrrr!!!!) it was a pure pleasure to meet you!
Sorry if I talked a lot of shite...tend to do that after a few beers
2 hours late for work today as well!
Today is an off day for me.
Just cracked the lid off the first tinny. Going to the driving range at 3.30 and a cricket net at 4.30.
Life is good.

A average sort of day enlivened only by lunch at the monthly City Crime Prevention Association meeting. We had to sit through a fairly tedious address by the Commissioner for Police but the reward is an excellent lunch which I wish I'd had my camera to photograph.
The meeting are held in the various livery halls around the city which means that you have nice walls and ceilings to stare at during the especially boring bits. I don't think many of the other members post on TD though, in fact it is probably a good idea that I don't mention that I do; the boys in blue have probably got it pegged as a subversive organisation.
Lord, deliver us from e-mail.
it's after 4:00 Am in the fuckin' mornin'; what am I still doin' up? been tryin' to help some young propeller head in the UK work out how use stylesheets, haven't got a goddam thing done on my my own code! Eatin' chocolate donuts and smokin' cigarettes. Sometimes I'm just a stupid, 54 year old kid.
Ain't life grand?
G'nite

I had you down as older than me Frankie.
Was down in Washington DC this weekend to visit some friends. Georgetown area is ridiculously rich. Everyone was dressed really well and just seemed high class. It kind of sucked realizing I was the ugliest and worst dressed person everywhere I went. So I decided to panhandle for a spell. Made enough to cover the evenings drinks.

You are a truly soppy sausage hirondelle.
Get yourself down to one of those manwhore bars, you'll be just fine.
or I could just amuse myself by playing with my sig, lol
btw - HE CALLED!! *happy dance*
*pause* manwhore bars? they have those?
This afternoon I put all my light switches the right way up.
Now I'm confused....
Yesterday I moved to my new apartment. I didn't think that I had things a lot but I had. My friends helped me to move also and I'll have to pay 'em dinner soon.
I woke up often last night because it's new place and I'm afraid Khun Pee. but others're cool, I like it.
I also can't connect internet at home for awhile because I don't have telephone line but I'm thinking to connect internet via mobile phone and I am thinking to buy N-gage, it's a bit big but it's useful, just a thought.
I sometimes get like that.....Raspberry Absolut vodka and undiluted orange squash will do it.Originally Posted by Goddess of Whatever
Good luck in your new place. My nan always used to give a piece of coal and a lump of bread whenever anyone moved into a new home - 'Never be cold and never be hungry'.....It's symbolic obviously - it's only one small lump of coal and the bread goes green in a week.
Talking of cold, as I was. It is bloody freezing here today. We had a snow storm yesterday - It was if I lived in a giant glass bowl that a bored giant had taken up from his desk and shook in a, 'Might as well give this a shake, nothing else to do.', kind of way. Talking of executive desk toys, as I was. How long would it be before you got bored with one of those set of pendulum type things where you swing two of them one end and two move the other end - Come on. How long? How long? How bloody long? HOW LONG?
Where abouts in the UK are you Danbo?
We had the same snow. I looked like a bloody snowman when I got in last night.
We've been for a walk along the seafront this morning, a walk punctuated by halts at my son's favourite cafes; octopus at Leigh and then burger at the one by the casino. I decided to have spotted dick and custard as I was so cold. Of course J wanted to eat that as well, so we ended up fighting over it with him trying to eat burger and spotted dick at the same time. Even J didn't want to have ice cream at the pier today.
