The safest thing for young men to do, is just not to get married anymore, and get a vasectomy when reaching puberty.

The wife can only have access to assets that are accumulated during the marriage, anything before that can't be touched.Originally Posted by Milkman

In UK at least, the law applies to both partners equally. So if the woman is the big earner she may be liable to keep her husband in the manner he was accustomed to. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen
the would be helpful to both male and females as more females could have careers other than unintentional housewife.Originally Posted by mellow
But it would decrease the production of comsumers which would not help the govt/corps to maintain the expansion of their sheep.

If women wernt virtually guarenteed custody of the kids I doubt most of them would be so keen to cash the old man in.

I'm a big supporter of equal rights for women, equal pay an opportunities and so forth. But the whole alimony thing is so archaic in this day and time, every time I hear one of these horror stories of a guy who has to lower his standard of living significantly to keep his ex-wife in her accustomed lifestyle I cringe.
It's the greed of lawyers and the hypocrisy of feminists that keeps these sorry laws on the books.

This happens alot in Canada, where the wife is the main breadwinner and she has to pay support to the lazy ex-husband if they divorce.
Liz Taylor had a prenup with construction worker hubby Larry Fortensky; she gave him $1 mil to FO.
It's a pity some women have to sit on their tushes and get fat while they look after the kids, housekeep and fekin turn into kindergarten mentalities because they have little adult stimulation or challenges. I know a banker who left work to be a house mom. Now her conversations revolve around things like "how to iron pretty autumn leaves in waxed paper" and "total checklist for back to school". Sh*t. If I changed my life for that, I'd want alot of compensation if the guy I did it for ran off with his secretary.

Canada is the first country of which I hear that it would be quite common for women to earn more than her husband.
It was not talked about this case but of the case that the wife simply tells the man to bugger off. Do you still think it is for to get a "compensation" for that? These days were marriages are not divorced because of anyones guilt (at least that's the german law), is it still fair to get a compensation or anything similar?...

Which laws are they?Originally Posted by mellow
The ones that insist that a woman gets half of the acquired wealth of the marriage?
Or the one that insists that men contribute to the support of their children?
Or the laws posted on here about women living with men for three months and taking everything they own?

Hopefully the law where the man has to pay out to his wife because she cheated and stuffed up the marriage.
If she leaves the marriage by her own choice, then no, she shouldn't get anything unless there are mitigating circumstances.Originally Posted by Lily
If on the other hand it is the man who leaves, then yes, she should be entitled to all that.
So, if she cheated, their children should get no support from the husband?Originally Posted by mrsquirrel
The woman should get no share of the marital assets?
Is this change to the law going to include men who do that also?
And can we make retrospective, for me?
What mitigating circumstances? Like getting bashed?Originally Posted by NickA

Did I say children? Nope.Originally Posted by Lily
Children of course should be supported, but only the kids not the wife, not her desire to wear Gucci or sit around at home. Really though her co-adulter should really be paying for fucking things up.
You are assuming that only women comit adultery.
Do they have alimoney in Britain?
If she cheated she shouldn't have the children.Originally Posted by Lily
If you make a decision to ruin people's lives for your own pleasure you should not gain by it, you should be punished for it. The same for a man who decides to ruin a marriage.
