Went to see this during our recent holiday in Jomtien.
Buddha stuff doesn't really do it for me, but this was impressive. The best bit was the mango ice cream in a shop by the car park.

I do do like a nice bit of timber
How do they get anything done then ?
But their English is way better than my Thai
For reasons that are still not entirely clear I decided to remove the lawn on the new house and get a lorry load of shingle delivered. The half baked idea being that the front garden would look ok ish for neighborhood relations and not turn into a mud pit when the builders start the refurb.
This was a mistake.
There's a lot to be said for escaping from the norm for several hours on a Sunny day.
Good for your focus and body.
Might have overdone it a bit today with nearly six hours in the saddle on one of the hottest days of the year.
Snapped some great pics from my neck of the woods, try to find different routes all the time and today was no exception.
Millionaires paradise around here, this is were the naughty people went so the locals could dispense of their old fruit and vegetables. .
A cyclists charity shop, only in Prestbury. .
Yep twas a hot day..
Got caught short and backed a turtles head out behind this fine looking establishment. .
Shouldn't have snapped my puncture proof tyre as it came back to haunt me in my home straight..
This mural among many others was painted by a former County cricket player turned cyclists. .
Wouldn't fancy pushing one of these hand ploughs in today's weather...
Refreshingly cool tunnels under Manchester Airport. .
Spot the air traffic control tower..
A pit stop is needed, smoothly does it with a pint of John Smiths, beer Carbs rule...
A quick stop at the Aviation park, name the planes anyone???
The city in the distance. .
A spot of dinner, Sirloin with a cheesy jacket potato and baked beans...
The sunset..

Our new dog Yogi is nothing if not an opportunist....
He's taken a liking to Uncle Max - can dogs be gay?
![]()
Yogi is a famous bear name.
In the gay world ‘bears’ are fat and hairy types.
So yes, Yogi is gay.
Shit! Next you'll be telling me that Tommy's gay as well?
Tommy is Yogi's older brother (no biological relation so at least no incest going on).
Clearly Yogi prefers to give than receive...
Although to be fair, Tommy hasn't really figured it all out yet.

Perhaps a bit of education is required.
When a boy dog likes another boy dog very much he will put his willy into the other boy dog’s bottom.
This is known as ‘homosexuality’, or ‘bisexuality’ if he likes girl dogs very much too.
These types of dogs like Kylie Minogue, Barbra Streisand, opera, and bitching about each other.
And they dress well too.
Have you checked his collar for diamantés ?

Well I could, but stereotyping is so much easier.
Avocado is back in fashion and not just over on the Cujo cooking thread
Just another day in Isaan
Working in the Gullfaks Field tonight. Northern North Sea, Norwegian Sector. The field is about 30 years old, so plenty of work.
Gullfaks A
Gullfaks B and C in the background. The Gullfaks C Platform, on the right, is in deep water and the structure is taller than the Eiffel Tower.
A seismic vessel went past tonight (in the foreground) which would have been towing maybe a kilometre of equipment. We were about 400m away, and every time the airgun went off the 'boom' rattled right through our vessel. God knows what it does to the whales and dolphins.
