    100% industrial-grade chrysotile asbestos, even though the health hazards of asbestos had been known for several years.

    Perhaps, the asbestos had contributed to Judy Garland's early death (overdosage of barbiturates not really well-proven, but an eating disorder?)

    Brisbane - LAX nonstop is 13.5 hours over water. Your flights to Hawaii are only a measly 5.5 hours.

    ^ Unsurprisingly Backspit fucked it up. Mainland US to Hawaii is the longest overwater flight with no alternative airport en route (e.g. no diversion point).

    I recall Helsinki to Tokio over the Pole many years ago, I also recall to over S Pole when AA had a direct Sydney to South America, then there was LAN Chile albeit brief stop Isla de Pascua.
    During the Falklands contest there were many long oversea jaunts but no "passengers"

    Rumoured only icy ops until the welcoming North Korean / Siberian airfields come into range.

    Which is longest Oceanic crossing for any commercial flight ...

    https://aviation.stackexchange.com › questions › which-...24 Jun 2015 — The Air Canada Melbourne-Vancouver is probably the longest. Quibbling as to whether it might pass over an island is pointless!

    Also why there are not many flights over the south pacific. As opposed to all the northern hemisphere flights.

    Utter twaddle. You evidently don't understand. Flying over islands with airports on them isn't flying over water

    It is implied in the statement. Flying over islands with airports on them is not flying over water. So it aint me who fucked up. Its Willy that fucked, up.

    Well it sorta gives you an idea what your chances of going for a swim are. When I flew to New Zealand 20 years ago, I assumed it was fly or swim for most of the flight. But its just not the case thankfully

    Did you know... That at the time of construction , the Olympic and Titanic were the biggest man made structures on earth ? Bigger than any sky scraper.

    That would be true if you ignore

    The Great Wall of China

    I have walked a few kilometers along it and even though needs some repointing it goes on for longer than Headwonx on a football thread.

    I have walked over 100km of Offa's dyke which took me a fortnight, manmade.

    I climbed on remnants of the Hadrian's Wall and Machu Pichu which certainly weren't built in a day

    I'd imagine there are many other, Zimbabwe, the numerous less famous Chinese and Asian walls and I'm Shelley not talking the Byshe

    I met a traveller from an antique land,

    Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone

    Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,

    Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,

    And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,

    Tell that its sculptor well those passions read

    Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,

    The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;

    And on the pedestal, these words appear:

    My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;

    Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!

    Judging by it's large African American population (44.1%) I would say the District of Columbia, which is not really a state,
    so next down the line it would be Mississippi which aside from the fact that the person who named it had a stutter, has a 38% African American population

    Just the thought tightens the Sphynx

    I'd also add the pre Trumpeteers Walls of Jericho but not sure Backspin can take another BLOW

    The temples of Sun and Moon near Mexico City and some of those Mayan Pyramid salesmen delivered by the ton

    Lincoln Cathedral was higher 500 years earlier and La Tour Eiffel and Strasbourg Dom even earlier

    I think Socal needs stick with leaning towers of Pizza or fuxtcheck.con
