Not to worry, sybill . . . you'll understand what that means - subtle isn't your mode, neither is taste . . . speaking of which, how's your long distance relationship with Abdul going?
You know what they say - one man's fish is another . . . hmmm . . .
Apple NZ, but they were shipped from Vietnam. Took just a few days. I ordered three phones with accessories yesterday and the tracker says they've been shipped already.
Apple being Apple, the price should be very similar irrespective of where you buy them, I'd think
Ipad Mini 2021 5G - I've always had the flagship Samsung phones for a long time so I wanted to see how the other side lives... had a Macbook Pro years ago and my Apple account seems to still be there... nice
iPhone 13 — Love everything about it, especially the internet speed with AIS.

It even appears to be dispensing pellets behind itself.
Three days . . . three iPhones from Australia to here. Three days, over the week-end even. I ordered something from Nelson (tip of the south island) over a week ago and it hasn't arrived yet.
The fourth iPhone to Brisbane also arrived today. Impressive.
My youngest one's - free shipping as well and in her favourite colour which isn't available here

Why the 12 instead of the 13?
Was there a big cost difference or just availability?
The 12 is for our youngest, her sister and me, simply because the difference isn't all too great. A 13 Pro Max for my wife, better for her eyes. She also likes the idea of a TB storage.
The rub is that availability in NZ is low, and only black, white and a few blue. Talking to the shops that sell them, it's because those three are cheaper for them to buy but sell at the same list price.
So, may as well buy the colours that we (the girls) prefer . . . (well, they don't know that they're getting them) . . . and the second Christmas without out eldest, which is sad.
Add two MacBook Air this year already and I should have bought shares.![]()
The Festive season approacheth, so here are some impulse buys from Wish.com-
At home, I have an AIS broadband 500/500 Mbps package for 399 baht/month.
Since getting the new iPhone I've tested the speeds a few times, out of curiosity.
My laptop can only go as high as around 250 Mbps for downloading — though my iPhone 13 regularly goes above 500 Mbps and even above 600 Mbps during non-peak hours.

It must be the equatorial distance . . .

I'm getting 16.7mpbs, but I pay through the teeth for it.
Still . . . compare your 16.7 and my 13.1 to Samuel's 600+ . . .![]()
About 35 on my True WiFi. Which fared pretty well with 3 of us using it during WFH
Don't know much about these things. Is this good? from some of the other posts it seems like it is.
ergo sum . . . NZ and the UK (aka the First World) . . . suck at connection speeds. (And we probably pay much more for it)
But . . . hello.
Just tried it again and the difference is massive.
Weird
Yep, my AIS broadband 500/500 Mbps package for 399 baht/month is a great deal.
It's actually 599/month — though, they discount 200/month, if you sign up for 2 years with automatic payments.
And, with the AIS app — one can actually increase the download or upload speeds to 700-800 mbps anytime you want. Though, don't really have a need for that as movies download fast enough already.
There is a lot of competition between the companies which is great for customers with many of them already offerering fibre optic which is a small cable they connect from the street directly to your home/room — compared to ADSL that goes over the phone line and has a lower maximum speed.

Hasn’t just about everyone in Thailand had fibre optic for a couple of years, except maybe those right out in the boonies?
Flipping between higher download or upload might come in handy, though.
Yes, from what I've read fibre-optic has spread across the country the last few years with around 10 million broadband subscribers. AIS fibre has something like 1.5 million customers.
Thailand is doing quite well on that front.
Thailand tops internet speed testing
