You'd think it would be quite simple to find something like that, especially here in Thailand, but is it fuck!

Have to get them made in NZ and shipped here.
Well, at least in Thailand you can buy the cable ties with which to bundle it up so it doesn't get in the way (and can't be used).

Some of the recipes that I'm using call for roasting the dry whole spices then grinding them. Decided to get a decent spice grinder, and just received this heavy duty monster.

That looks like it's for commercial use only.

Poor result using a mortar and pestle, particularly with some of the harder seeds such as coriander etc. Dry roasting then grinding seeds give much more concentrated flavour than ready bought ground spices.

Larger than I'd anticipated for sure, however I'll make batches and store them in air tight jars.

    Fair enough.

There's a reason why the recipes say dry roast, grind and use immediately though, of course.

Nothing has ever been anything but 'ground' using our stone mortar and pestle.

Still, it is the impulse buy thread.

I wonder if he's plugged it in yet.

Don't worry his impulse buy's temperature control will not work, the grinder will clog and the stainless steel will rust. It does appear to be from "a country north of Thailand".

Spent an an hour or so wandering around goggle-eyed at KS Racing today, a speed shop in CM with quite the reputation who are building my motor for me:

As per my pics don't do justice to the place. So many interesting and varied things there to waste money on.

A plethora of racing cars and machinery, Mercs, Audis, a Porsche... pretty much all of which I managed to miss in my shit pic.

Personally I shall mostly be wasting my money on one of these:
