I am genuinely surprised that people find 25 quid expensive for a pair of good quality, 100% cotton, fashionable cargo shorts. These weren't from some second-hand clothes stall down at the local market. Maybe I've spent too long in Scandinavia?

I have worn one of my camouflage pairs almost daily since I got them last July and they still look as good as new. I now have six pairs, so for a whopping 150 quid I am covered for shorts for several years.

No mention of washing them is noted

Re: the £25 shorts: aren't there XL or 2XL sizes for men's clothes in Lazada or Shoppee? I've seen the Decathlon store here in PH, they have sizes up to 3XL. (3XL in "Asian" size, I guess.

(btw I know that Mendy is a tall Caucasian guy, so might have difficulty getting clothes in TH or even via Lazada or Shoppee, which usually are sourced from China)

^ They go up to 42, though get in quick cos the larger sizes sell out fast in the Midlands.

I've driven past this fibreglass shop countless times over the years and have often meant to stop and take a look. It's right in the centre of Korat, on the Terminal 21 junction. Yesterday on the way back from school I finally took a look.

And I couldn't resist it... 3200 Baht later.

One day I want to live by the sea, have a small boat and go fishing every morning with a dog for companion. Before that becomes a reality I plan to train the dogs to be comfortable around boats and to jump in and out quite happily. Now the training can start.

Fitting the dogs out with life jackets will make a change from the usual, more frilly garb.

Not wishing to put a downer on this but is your move planned within the lifespan of the current pack or are you testing the feasibility with the current pack.

I haven't really though long term, but Lola's only a year old and there's no reason she won't live another 14 or 15 years.

I like that boat Mendip! I want one, but for the stream/river just up the road from us.

The dogs don't venture into our pond any longer, not since one was stung by a catfish. We had the pond drained to get rid of the catfish but once bitten...
