8k even worse, could've wiped out at least 10% of your real smart short last month.

Only if I'm doing a Manny and telling a big porky pie.

My longterm entry point was $9,600.

Bought more yesterday at 200k thb to sell at 300k. Dunno what that is in USD. I just use the THB prices as that's what I'm dealing in.

OK, the bottom has shown itself.
I am back in the black.
Went under for about 24 hours for my total portfolio.
Let's hope it stays up now.
The news about the US congress talking about cryptos with SEC chairman probably helped.

Would you use an ATM if it took 8 hours to decide to pay you your cash? I suspect the banks already have that market, along with 99.9999% trust issues.

BIS official raises concerns about cryptocurrencies
Bank for International Settlements General Manager Agustin Carstens is calling for officials to get a regulatory grip on the use of digital currencies and to safeguard the conventional financial system. Citing the possibility of illegal transactions, Carstens said "central banks cannot allow such tokens to rely on much of the same institutional infrastructure that serves the overall financial system and freeload on the trust that it provides."

European Commission official: Wait for blockchain rules
The European Commission plans to wait to propose rules concerning blockchain technologies, such as smart contracts and digital tokens, though it will take input on letting companies use blockchain for financial disclosures. Peteris Zilgalvis, head of a financial-technology task force, says the next generation of EU leaders, who take office in 2019, should decide "whether the so-called utility tokens need to be regulated."

Regulators: Congress may need to act on cryptocurrencies

Congress may need to give the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission direct authority over initial coin offerings and cryptocurrency trading platforms, the agencies' heads told the Senate banking committee. SEC Chairman Jay Clayton said he and CFTC Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo are receptive to "exploring with Congress, as well as with our federal and state colleagues, whether increased federal regulation of cryptocurrency trading platforms is necessary or appropriate."

the bankers may need to be a little careful in their arguments to shut down cryptos - many of them could be used against them.

The drop in stocks over the last few days - reflect real changes in value in underlying assets in a couple of days? Or just fear/ greed and speculation/ pump?

The derivatives markets are anything more than a casino - they bring any value to society as a whole or just their fanbois? Hi-speed/ high volume trading - this is a level playing field? The highly complex engineered financial instruments created out of Goldman Sachs etc are anything more than THEFT in the end?

The never-ending welfare provided by governments every time one of their theft systems falls over - a la GFC.

Laundering/ hiding of criminal money - the banks have been doing that forever - the panama tapes, tax havens, etc etc - it looks more like the protection of their own dirty income streams.

I wouldn't mind greater regulation/ scrutiny/ closing down of the cryptos if it resulted in the 'real' financial sector being placed under the same scrutiny and criteria of value to society broadly - not just for a bunch of elites with their opaque engineered schemes - banking/ finance is needed but the 'tax ' placed on everyone by the financial shysters is worse than anything happenning in crypto.

So come on cryptos - the only difference to the 'acceptable' system is that a different set of crooks are getting some of the money.

By eco-friendly, do you mean that they are saving the planet by only using a single webpage on their website, and providing nothing more than a fcuking logo?
