only if you think bitcoin is a good coin - it is likely to increase at a slower rate of knots as a few of the newer lemmings were burnt

ETH might be a big winner here as it has a recognised name - break the 1k

dash and monero are getting a rightfull comeuppance

and why the fcuk ripple is up - irrational hoseA may know

I got out of my XVG yesterday and went into FUN - not so sure about XVG , it is all hanging on their wraith protocol which is suposed to allow you to switch anon transactions on and off - I like the idea , but have to see if they can make it work - the other problem is the anon part relies on TOR so not sure if it is the way of the future for anon with all the new types of zero knowledge trustless protocols coming

^ if this thing isn't being manipulated by wall st now (and i strongly believe it is) it will be very soon.

    slightly different avenue of discussion...

what are the odds that the US federal govt. criminalizes the use of crypto-curriences?

i'm not saying they will or won't, but what if they do?

there's already talk of them creating their own 'fedcoin'. nothing like eliminating the competition by edict.

    things to consider...

    1. from the 1930s to the 1970s the US govt. banned the ownership of gold and gold certificates...long story short, don't fcuk with the greenback..that's the fed's job.

    2. crypto currencies are commonly used by criminals and terrorists....the US govt loves to crack down hard on anything connected to terrorism. so if there's an attack of some kind and there's any link to a crypto-currency, you can bet there will be swift action.

Ripple over the past couple of years has made massive progress without a single movement in price. Other coins announce they have a new unproven idea and the price goes wild. Ripple announces it has actual trials with major banks and nothing happens. It has been severely undervalued for 2 years. The price is just now catching up.
Some people think it don't, but it be.

except the trial with banks is just using its blockchain tech for a private blockchain - the banks like centralised control

the tokens tied to the public blockchain are not going to be used

That's step one of the plan. Banks are risk averse and like their tech tested before going full in. With further integration using XRP they stand to save an extra 30% on transaction costs, not to mention the millions of dollars that they could potentially free up from Nostro accounts that will no longer be necessary. The one outstanding issue Ripple has yet to solve is getting liquidity for all the currencies. That will take time and looking at the big picture it is still early days.

one would hope that it's obvious that there is a big difference between the two statements...and that mine is irrefutable.

because you know more about crypto-currencies than the other TD posters i assumed you were also able to have a rational and reasonable fact based discussion.

    apparently that was my mistake.

    carry on.

i hope your trading is profitable.

Just checked and the last hour looks mostly green. Now we see whether the bottom just completely drops out.

It really has huge potential the only other coin doing anything close is monero. I will continue to hold it and see what happens.
