Fair enough if you want to send money to Thailand. Buy on an exchange in your home country and send the ETH to bx.in.th and sell for THB and cash out to your bank

That may be worth the effort as long as bx.in.th does not block your account with a suspicion that you are trying to evade currency rules.

I did similar from sing to Thai with BTC a couple of years ago and decided that it was only worth it for amounts less than 1 k USD . Above that a bank transfer was.more effective . Mainly because coinhaiko the broker in sing charged a percentage rather than a flat rate per conversion from SGD to BTC
Yup, the only sensible way is to buy and sell whatever crypto on the same trading platform after it reaches a % you want it to make. All you lose is the 0.25% trade fee. If you go transferring around to different exchanges that have different prices and exchange fees then it's gonna be costing you quite a bit.

    I have.

    Not a lot.

Round 2 weeks ago, sold 10k baht of REP (I think), deposited it to my K-Bank account, 30b network fee and 0.25% of the trade taken out of my REP balance, bought a liter of Gold Label and a nurse.

That's pretty much not what it says. The article is a bunch of 'ifs'
The TLDR would be Ripple is working top down Banks to general users. Stellar is working bottom up Users to Banks. SWIFT is lagging but still a player. And if... if... if...

    Choose wisely.

Difficult to do, with all the conflicting info and opinions coming from a multitude of people that know more than me and many others.

LTC is the one! XRP is the one! ETH is the one! LTC is gonna crash! XRP is gonna crash! LTC is gonna crash!

I'm choosing widely instead. Fairly equal amounts of 10 different 'big' cryptos, and a smattering of small cheap ones, and hoping for the best over the next 11 months.

It certainly could tank, a correction is due. To say that it IS tanking presently I'm not really seeing that. Its about 75 bucks off its all time high from last hour to hour and a half ago. Its actually marginally up over the last hour

I think I'm in about 15 - 20 cryptos in all. Some I bought over a year ago and when I scroll down CMC I see names I remember buying but I can't remember if I still hold them or sold them off for something else. I'm away on holiday so only have Binance to trade on. I'm expecting a lot of new money in the market this year and also expecting the big regulation hammer to fall at some point. Speculation on what will happen when that hits is also rife.

    Speculation on speculation.
Some people think it don't, but it be.

    Not seeing it yet.

^ Think I'd be close to losing all faith and selling my entire portfolio for 10 minutes with a Ugandan.

    Couldn't handle the tonnage.

Seriously, my last ETH cost me more than 38k on bx when it was riding elsewhere for 32-33k, because I'm in with baht that only bx and cohorts accept, and which gives them the upper hand throughout.

Otoh, one problem with localbitcoins is most vendors are asking around or more than bx, which makes no sense at all to deal, and that's assuming they have the goods.

So did I, just before it fell, and then I went in again lol. Taking the shine of Ethereum but no choice now - hold and ignore it until it turns green again.

    ^^ Only took 5 seconds.

Yes those 5 seconds were worth the hassle of the withdrawal process.

I think the point of localbitcoins is to get some 'street' BTC without going through the KYC of exchanges. Then you can buy your drugs and kiddie porn without any link back.

I doubt anyone is unscathed from today. I am getting hammered by Cardano. Thankfully I have APPC to offset it.

This doesn't make any difference, if you are not sending it to other exchanges.

If it goes up 100%, you will sell it on BX at 76k, where on other exchanges people will be selling it at 64-66k.

You still make the same % profit (or loss) as you would on any other exchange.

I thought it was to save fees/spreads, and my kids aren't old enough for porn or drugs.

APPC still extremely volatile, down a full baht from its high, I reckon once it settles your patience will pay off...mine too!
