Fresh Prince will be showing the game at his pub under the Holiday Inn.
Its lower Silom opposite the Novotel Fenix Hotel.
Google it up. Jameson's Irish Pub.
He should be anyway, they show all the sports down there.
Good Pub as well.

Do you mean the Fresh Prince who used to (or still does) run the pints man and one other place on Silom as well?
Do you mean the place whose website hasn't worked for years?
Do you mean the place who has not replied to my last three emails?
Yes I sound like a prat but that place really annoys me. I visited half a dozen times a few years ago but then they dropped their website and stopped answering their emails so I couldn't be bothering visiting if I had no idea if the footy or cricket I wanted to watch was on.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

I meant one other place other then the pintsman and Jamesons.
So did you try google it? No information at all which is why I started this thread.
Not that hard EH?
Oh sorry about that, I must be going blind.
I thought that in your post you were asking where you could watch the football on Silom. ??
I'll let you work that out then.![]()
^^
Not that hard was it.![]()

^ Have you actually tried your own link Klong toey?

Are you really that thick Terry?
I asked where to watch the footy.
You suggested a place that does not have a website (that I can find) showing up to date sport fixtures and that does not answer emails.
As a result you get ya knickers in a right royal knot.
Am I missing something?
Yeah i get loads of references to jameson irish pub silom bangkok.
OOOps see your not keen on the place sorry.
Not my end of town.

Fascists dress in black and go around telling people what to do, whereas priests... more drink!
^^
No I did not get my knickers in a knot, just reving you up because you asked a question, I give you an answer and then you asked dumb shit again. ?
Its Ok though, it is Teakdoor after all you know.
I'm still telling you though, it's the best spot on Silom if you want to watch the Footy.
Up to you though innit.
Must be a busy man trip take about 10 minutes on the MRT.

Lots of references does not mean lots of results that actually give you the information that you are chasing. I did all the searching and emailing before starting this thread, there is nothing out there.

Yeah I get ya Terry but what I am trying to get at is that you said "he should be" showing the footy. I was hoping to find a place that 100% for sure is showing it.
I don't have time to get to Sukumvit because if my plane lands on time and I manage to check in and dump my bags on Silom road it will almost be half time. Just wanted to confirm a place that I can walk into, grab a cold one and the second half! By the sounds of it, Jamesons will be my best bet - just hope it pays off - thanks for your help.
Seeing as it seems the fresh prince is back on deck at the holiday inn I might as well just send him a PM and razz him. Does he still post here.

Nope,
He disappeared a few months ago ain't posted since.
His pub shows all the sports so can't see why the footy will not be on.
I've just been talking with FP, he told me that Jamison's has been closed down for 2 months.
Regards the Aussie network and the Football. They are still broadcasting for now.
He reckons the game will on at Molly Mallons on Silom under Sala Dang Sky Train.
Oh in my drunken slumber my understanding of the English language let me down again.Originally Posted by MeMock
Good news sober at the moment its all down hill for the rest of the day.

This thread has been quite entertaining! Thanks Terry for the heads up on the demise of Jamesons and news on another place to catch the game.

Game? What game?
After landing at the airport onetime I was really looking forward to seeing the second half of this game.
It wasn't to be though as The Bangkok Bank and super rich websites told me lies about being open so after checking in to the Pullman G hotel I had to motorbike it over the other Super Rich then back to Silom to discover the banks closed at three different locations. Eventually found one back across town so needless to say by the time I pulled up at Flann Obrians the game had just finished. I went in anyway as by then I really needed a beer and thought I would watch the wrap up.
There were three people inside and the air con was off. There were at least 6 TV's on showing various different sport. I asked the bar tender if there had been any Australian football on that day and he said no. I downed my beer in the hot pub and headed back to the hotel and some much needed sleep.

Bloody hell,
I specifically went in to that Pub the day before to inquire about that game for you.
The staff said Yes they will be showing it and even showed me the flyer with the game and date printed on it.
Never liked that place anyway, poxy little dark shithole with shit service.
Suppose you where lucky at the end of the day.![]()
I thought you were a teetotaler mate. No alcohol!Originally Posted by MeMock

Hi Terry,
Yeah the place is dark (and hot). I won't be back. Thanks so much for trying to help me out. Was a great game to apparently!
Loytoy - hey mate - not sure where you got that idea from? A cold one at the end of a long flight and sweaty day on Bangkok's streets is pretty good!
The first time I met you with Wayne Kerr at that restaurant. For some reason I thought you were not drinking. Wayne Kerr certainly was.Originally Posted by MeMock
