They literally are making up for the loss of tourist $ due to the protests, quite literally this is what they are doing.

Surely you are aware that if you go in to the counter and do a credit card cash advance it will cost you nothing on the Thai side...

Personally I just wire funds over as needed. One time fee for the wire transfer is certainly a lot less than hitting up Thai atms day after day...

I love freebies and besides I don't own a credit card nor will I ever by choice.

This whole thread is about the principle of the dam thing, I couldn't give a toss about 30baht, it is the principle.
