She is listing slightly to starboard and in need of being towed for minor repairs to mast and rigging but the RMS Titanic has had a bottle of Little Creatures cracked over her bows to welcome her aboard

I found a listing for tiny figures that can be put on the deck so I am checking if the set includes Winslet and DiCaprio before spunking my coin

Pushing the boat out for Big Gay Easter Sunday with some rose bubbles before Jesus rises from the dead tomorrow to banish gayness from every corner of the earth

With the Titanic at the bottom of the ocean one of the exotic options for transatlantic travel in the roaring 20s was the Dornier Do-X from 1929...

    What are you drinking today?-20230409_205737-jpg

    It had 12 engines (6 push + 6 pull) and a 48m wingspan.

You can get an idea of how big it was comparing it to the Kawanishi HK8 Emily to the right which was a Japs-eye carbon-copy ripoff of the huge Short Sunderland (from when the Kawanishi team visited Short Brothers in belfast in 1934)

The Do-X had 3 decks like an ocean liner with a bar (where the bubbles was served in 1920s champagne coupes of course) and had a restaurant and was configurable for sleeping berths for long haul

^I have recently finished Senorita's Citizenship Application Mike and she has just last weekend told me that she no longer wants to give up her Indo passport which she renewed recently for 10 years (previously only 5 year renewals were possible for Indo passports)

If she becomes a naturalised aussie she must give up Indo citizenship and her new 10 year passport

Took me ages to to do that form

I think she would be better off getting the aussie passport even if it takes her 43 attempts to pass the citizenship test in English (which it probably will)

    ^^ Why is that Looper?

My wife is a naturalised Aussie (although I keep it quiet in real life) but she has kept her Thai citizenship no problem.

Because Indonesia does not recognize dual nationalities.

As Willy rightly points out, it is up to the other nation to decide whether it agrees to dual citizenship with Orzstraylia

In this case Aussie agrees but Indo does not

That is interesting. I always assumed Thailand was in the 'do not agree' category. China certainly is and quite a few other SEA nations I think.

I think that nations that have a history of immigration generally agree

I think technically Thailand asks people to choose one nationality but doesn't enforce it at all.

    ^Interesting info Armo

I might ask around if Indos can maybe just not say anything to Indo Immi about their new citizenship and keep their Indo passport till it runs out

She has just jumped though hoops to renew, and was surprised when they offered her 10years for the first time, so I think she feels it is wasted effort if she goes for Aussie citizenship now

Which is a bit short-sighted in my view. I want her to get the aussie passport as it is better than an Indo one for travel flexibility

No need to ask around. She can and many do. But be aware if they find out she can lose her Indo citizenship and also any property she may have as foreigners cannot own land.

My daughter has three nationalities and it always surprised me when sorting out the citizenship papers that no country asked about any other nationalities. She has British from me, Thai from her Thai mother and also Aussie from her Thai mother who is also a naturalised Aussie. As Looper says, it makes international travel an awful lot easier.

The Thais definitely know about the daughter's British citizenship (and the wife's Australian citizenship) as when leaving Swampy on many occasions, both using their Thai passports to leave, immigration have also asked to see their UK/Aussie passports to assure the immigration officer that they will be granted entry to the UK on arrival.

    ^^Very useful to know Willy.

I will advise the fair Senorita of her options

Definitely makes sense but I am a tad worried about her abilities to pass the test. She should have done it before they introduced the test.

I am back on the post-resurrection pedestrian pale bubbles to toast 3 new pieces of Wehrmacht artillery which have arrived this week

The model fairy has sneaked in and upscaled my Westland Lysander from 1/72 to 1/32. Which reminds me, I might give Allied another spin. It was quite good as I recall.

JWIII had been sitting on my HD for ages but with JWIV dropping imminently I had to get up to speed on all the ball-biting dogliness

Even a pension if she has an ausdie passport. Anyway. Up to her
