Last night visited the little jewel of a market down here in CB and stocked up on US Bourbon and Rye Whiskey.
Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve double oak, Woodford Reserve Rye, Makers Mark 46, few bottles of 1 liter Stoli Vodka, Gran Marnier, Cointreau and various beers. Prices very good.
Set now for a few weeks![]()
I'm not really a beer drinker, Helge, never have been, but occasionally I feel like I want to drink one so I buy the odd bottle or can and drink it. I much prefer cider but even with that I am enjoying it less and less. I'm now thinking that next year could be a totally dry year for alcohol for me.
Leo.
Albeit I cannot tell you taste of goat piss being it's a joke to identify a terrible beer, I can go by smell and I have raised goats and Leo has a striking smell resemblance as does Budweiser. Probably why they add ice so often.
I tried an ice cold Leo once. Put in freezer. Got it near freezing and drank straight out of the bottle. Was palatable but man as soon as it starts to warm up all bets are off. I watered a few plants with it. Good news is, the plants survived.
On a coolish rainy night it will be Oettinger to go with the slow cooker chili beans. Only NZ$2.80 for 500ml.
I have a feeling I'll be sleeping on the sofa downstairs.
Oh ho ho!!Its on now.
them be fightin words.
You can kick my dog,or insult my woman, but disparage Budweiser and we have a problem.
If Budweiser tastes like goat piss , either goat piss tastes pretty good, or you my friend had a recent stroke .
There is a reason Budweiser is the best selling beer in the world and it is not because it tastes like goat piss.
Sorry I got o go and have one to calm down. I am too upset to even talk right now.![]()
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
Because you can fool most of the people most of the time?
Do you really like that stuff or are you just taking the Bud?
I did try it when on a trip to the USA in my young and impetuous youth. As far as I remember I actually swallowed. That's how wild I was back then. Fortunately, tempus fugit.
(I didn't want to miss out on the I Love Latin Day.)
Yes there is. Because it's cheap like Leo and you do not make a quality beer and sell it cheap if you are using good ingredients.Hang in there BB.....
Budweiser is a beer of the past, like Hamms, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Michelob and Lucky Lager.
Way too many craft beers out now. I remember back in the day picking up a case of Coors to take to a party. Who drinks Coors anymore.
Another top one was Lone Star. The beer is still marketed as "The National Beer of Texas." The Lone Star name is now owned by Pabst Brewing Company. Production of Lone Star is currently contracted out to Miller Brewing Company in Fort Worth.
Good old Miller. Bottled in clear glass. Always left you wondering at parties when you saw a half empty......
There is alway a first time and brother, that time is now.
What will you call a minority expressing superiority over the majority?
Franky I'm aghast! Aghast I tell you , aghast!
Miller is the one beer when you're having more than oneOhh crap wait, that was Schaefer and it's true 'cause it was pure water with a bit of beer flavor. I think it was the official drink of Alcoholics Anonymous
For Miller time please enjoy this brief musical interlude

^ How embarrassing... two in one post. I always proof read my posts as well.
Sorry, BB.
I seem to remember from local commercials - Schlitz the beer that rocks America. Still looking for Beer Lao IPA altho the other Full Moon IPAS have to do for now.
Disappointed about Beer Singha nowadays as it is much same same as the other local stuff. Good to see some recommend IPAS, how about DDIPA. Brinkburn St Brewery,
Rigg & Farrow do some great brews if yr in that area.
An opinion.
I really don't want to accept that my opinion is 'expressing superiority'. That wasn't my intention. Some people cannot abide brussels sprouts, saying that they do is not a claim to vegetable superiority, surely?
Alongside which, even if Bud happens to be the biggest selling beer in the world (which might actually be Heineken, I can't fact check that and type this and watch the footie at the same time) I am sure you'll find that the vast majority of the global population never touch the stuff.
