As was having a healthy lunch.

Added the peel to me brew of flower tea for the day.

    Heavy on the mint.

Homemade lavender, lemongrass, jasmine, mint and banana peel tea.

4 liters. Cooled, into the fridge in dispensers, then icy cold pints of it later when it's roasting hot.

Delicious and can feel the goodness.

Banana peel water, a solution made by soaking banana peels in water, is often used as a natural fertilizer for plants, particularly houseplants. It's believed to provide essential nutrients like potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus, which can improve plant health and growth

What is banana peel tea good for?

So, what's special about banana peel tea? When taken about an hour before bed, banana tea can help calm the nervous system and help the body prepare for deep sleep. That's because banana peels contain potassium and magnesium, which are both natural muscle relaxants.

If I faceplant the keyboard in an hour or so I've ever overdone it or read a sybil post.

    Not bad.

I remember when these first came out and I thought it was gonna become me staple.

    San Mig. Tick.
    Wheat beer. Tick.
    5.4%. Tick.

But then tried it and didn't get into them.

Giving it another go and I'm not sure what I was on about the first time. Very tasty, but perhaps a bit too heavy. People have used soup spoons with items of thinner consistency.

That's a very big backyard. DrWilly appears to be doing very nicely for himself. I suspect there are many locals who'd jump at the chance to be his mia noi.

    GenAi is your friend.

The science behind copper mugs for Moscow mules involves several interesting physical and chemical properties:

    **Temperature Control**
Copper is an excellent thermal conductor - one of the best among common metals. This means it rapidly absorbs heat from your hand and the surrounding air, then quickly transfers that heat away from the drink. The result is that your Moscow mule stays colder longer compared to glass or ceramic containers. The mug itself also feels refreshingly cool against your lips.

    **Enhanced Aromatics**
Copper can subtly interact with the acidic ingredients in a Moscow mule (lime juice and ginger beer). This slight chemical interaction may enhance certain aromatic compounds, potentially making the drink smell more vibrant. The metal's surface can also concentrate aromatics near your nose as you drink.

    **Oxidation Effects**
The copper surface undergoes mild oxidation when exposed to acidic ingredients, which can create trace amounts of copper ions. While this happens in very small quantities that are generally considered safe for occasional use, it may contribute subtle metallic notes that some people find complement the spicy-tart flavor profile.

    **Thermal Shock**
Copper's rapid heat transfer means the mug quickly adjusts to the temperature of its contents, creating a more immediate sensory experience when cold liquid hits the warm metal.

    **The Caveats**
It's worth noting that prolonged contact between acidic drinks and copper can increase copper ion leaching. Most copper mugs today are lined with other metals (like nickel or stainless steel) to prevent this, which somewhat reduces the direct copper-drink interaction while maintaining the thermal benefits.

The temperature control aspect is the most scientifically significant benefit - the rest may be more about tradition and perceived taste enhancement than dramatic chemical changes.

^^ what a load of nonsense. Copper is indeed a good conductor and that means it also gets chilled by the drink and that is them transferred to the air surrounding the mug. Good Lord and that is precisely my point, if anything it will cause the liquid to warm quicker.

Actually many mugs are double walled as they are rolled so they actually do keep the beverage much cooler. I have 2 and use them for various drinks. That said, I prefer my crystal whiskey glass for almost all I drink. I usually take a drink then put my glass in the freezer so I never worry about watered down drinks or melted ice.

The copper cup looks cool, Willy, but the science says what you really need is a Styrofoam cup. They are coming back into fashion, I hear.
