Fucking had to buy a new fridge today ... the old dear wasn't chillin' the cask wine cool enough.
Looked at one fridge with a TV the Boys could talk to ... more money then I paid for my last car!
Wish I could do that multi-quote function thingy...
^^^ Sous vide... had to go to google for that NPT - but still none the wiser unfortunately. I'll investigate tomorrow!
^^ Nev, it's the colour of whisky and the gardener and I nailed my duty free Highland Park in two sittings last week. So let me pretend!
^ And Jack... Poached organic pla nin, potato pieces and peas coming up. Maybe even some carrots if I get adventurous.
Incidentally, the reason I am yet again fending for meself and me best little mate is that the wife went off to a 100 day ceremony this morning, so will be out of action for the entire weekend. I've never known anyone have so many acquaintances pass on - she goes to more funerals each year than I've been to in my entire life. Everyone she meets seems to croak it. Makes me a bit nervous at times!
Four months off booze now. I was planning to enjoy a few glasses of decent wine in Spain in September. Sadly I got food poisoning on day one and was in bed for three days with just water and hydration salts. That meant a caffeine detox too. So now both booze and caffeine free.
Oddly enough I'm not missing any of it at all. I feel healthier, more alert and content. It's dad's 86th next week and treating him to a few days in a swank hotel somewhere a bit warmer. I will probably have Champagne on the flight, a few martinis in the hotel bar and an espresso in the morning. I'm just hoping I will be able to stop again afterwards.
Picked these on special.

What to buy and drink here, what to pack up and bring back.
Not sure if this is a typo or an invitation to raid my bank account.

^^^ I'm pretty impressed with JPPR2's personal home cabinet!
Went to eMart today, and they had a few beer packs that I haven't tried before, so thought I'd give them a try:

Put them in the fridge, now taking the dog for a walk then I'll try some with a Manwich when I get back...
All three of the Brewdogs were fine, easy drinking, nothing spectacular...

The Punk IPA was the best tasting.
This duchess was a bit naughty, you'd need to be in the mood for her:

This other stuff didn't go down well, and there's 5 more cans - might give them to the dog... :(

the 10 yo beats most 12 yo's imo.
Miss Bootycall's boss has been testing different homemade craft beers for the last year or so, I think this will be the 3rd or maybe 4th batch in the testing process.

No idea what that is, but if I'm not back online by Boxing Day, give my repo to Minty and inform Manny he can really ring in the new year.
Forgot to mention, last time we hooked up and we were chatting about it, I mentioned the recent influx of all the Thai made Weizen beers and red beers, riceberry beers and whatever that you can get in the 7-11 for the last year or so, but they're all a measly 4 or 4.5%. She mentioned the last trial batches have been 7-8%.

Looks like Lulu has found a keeper:sexy:
Don't forget my invite to the wedding:)

A new venue... I've taken to drinking my evening tipple out the back with the littlun. She beat me last night and was still going on about it this morning.
Hong Thong for me, some revolting luminous bright red stuff for her...

Nice one JPPR2. Hangover one. Well at least you have goals and have set the bar high.
As for the lowly fish he had managed to get upstream with a bit of beer Lao and some very good bourbon. https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2019/12/61.jpg
Almost makes me want to shake the hook and head down river.
But alas, I'm gonna need a bigger boat.
Cheers, fish.
Oh, my bad. Hanger one... on the hook as I step out.
fish.
I'll have to look out for that. I bet they had it but I'm into bourbon. In fact we were taken to a place that gave free samples. No, not a Distillery but a liquor store. No kidding.
This was the place and all you see were sample jugs. https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2019/12/63.jpg
I felt like Elvis.....must have died and went to heaven.
Tha Bourbon Barrel Ale is some kick booty to boot.https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2019/12/62.jpg
Just sayen. CYA.
Now that I'd like to try!
Where is this damn fine establishment Fish?
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2019/12/80.jpg
I was walking in Nashville. Actually I drove there but let bil drive us back to their place.
Wise decision :)

Hey Fish, middle row, far right. All that Jefferson's Reserve is top stuff. I have had it numerous time. Its one of my top 5....OK...Ok...top 10. :)
I just picked up a bottle of Old Forester Statesman Cask Strength. Bringing it back with me. I have my liquor limit already packed up to bring back.
Good choice.Being from the brew town we have loads of stuff on file. However if you head south it's a whole new ball game. These guys are thick into producing the ......well depths of thickness.
Fish's bathroom cabinet looks well stocked!
this stuff was on special over the weekend at uncle dans - 40 aussie dollars - it is nice and smooth

^ try the parent company's offerings with soda :)
Hot Toddys tonight, damn flu!
The Hairy Bikers Christmas Vodka...excellent stuff, albeit a little too drinkable. I was introduced to it today, celebrating an early Christmas before we leave for Thailand. The recipe says 3 days but friend prefers to leave it a week. It's like drinking liquid mince pies. I shall be making it for New Year celebrations. I might even make a batch using Lao Khao...
Recipe easy to find on the web...
Troy just looked at that and i reckon the fruit would go great in fridge oats for the morning after...:)
^could always make some vodka jelly and gorge with mince pies.
Wont have to wait a week then:)
Day 15. Haven't missed a day of drinking. Also my Cousin shared some of her Cannibas Quencher. It's like lemonade with 100mg of THC in it per serving. Great little high and do not have to roll or E cig. Love to bring a case back.
Man Calif knows how to do up good THC products. I took a walk to the local dispensary and man. Walk in the door and instant contact high. :)
.
Tonight it's cold again in Korat.
I really fancied a Baileys on ice, sitting next to a fire, with a nice black coffee before retiring to bed with my loved one.
But, no Baileys, no fire and the wife's with her mum...
So, for a change I went for a couple of Leos with Hong Thong chasers!
https://teakdoor.com/members/mendip-...-jesstommy.jpg
And there it lies. I see the POTY poll and it embarrasses me a bit to be honest. I do this shit because of my darling little daughter and the huge amount of spare time I have... living in Korat to make sure she's ok. That's all I can say, but I can't go anywhere, can't leave, can't desert her, so fill in my time writing stories on this forum, which I enjoy immensely, by the way.
And I know how disparaging I can be about Thais, but my gardener guy, Nin, is something else. Without him this wouldn't be possible. OK, I maybe wish he wouldn't play the 'ball over the wall' game with me daughter in front of the kitchen window, and maybe he can be over familiar with the dogs at times!.. but without him this would collapse. He has been more an uncle to my little girl than any of her 'relatives'.
https://teakdoor.com/members/mendip-...jesstommy1.jpg
I'm gonna write on he POTY thread tomorrow, but I've always been an anonymous, kind of low key person. This don't sit easy.
^ you drink Leo everyday! :)
