Am I the only one that thinks the gardener Nid is molesting the dogs?
Please say it 'aint so Mendip!

^^ Not every day, but an evening bottle is proving to be a hard habit to break... (about half of my life I'm at sea and dry)
^ It ain't so! Just a friendly flick now and again.

230 baht for 4 big cans and a glass isn't bad...
Little Creatures XPA
https://teakdoor.com/attachment.php?...id=41946&stc=1
I am a huge fan of Little Creatures ever glorious Pale Ale so I was curious to try their take on XPA. It is not quite up to the stellar level of Balter's XPA brewed here on the Gold Coast but still bursting with similar lemony citrus floral notes and an excellent summer evening tipple ice cold.
Old Speckled Hen

Reliable as ever. I put a tiny bit of golden syrup in it to tickle the fruity dryness and get it singing.
Ruddy hell Loops, you having a party tonight?
That's a damn fine booze supply you've got there, nearly as good as Fishlockers:)
^^ what sort of poofy glass are you drinking that ale from loopers? I could murder a speckled hen or three tonight though...
^^Tiz the season to buy more booze than you can drink Chitty
^KGBGF bought me a pair of the largest red wine crystal balloons on the planet for Christmas 5 years ago and I promptly smashed one in the sink on Boxing day (I never told her).
Luckily the solitary one has survived 5 years as a memento to my erstwhile dusky devushka and is a fine swally swilling beer goblet reserved only for the finest beers available to humanity.
La Vida boxed red wine. Followed by some Glenlivet single-malts.
It is, err, Tuesday after all. :/
^ That'll do...no longer a poofy glass but a fine memento worthy of holding fine ales and wines. Don't fill it up with hairy biker Christmas Vodka though unless you have a couple of days free...
I never have anything but Chang now my Suki bell ringing days are behind me. Nothing gives you a start to the day like last nights Chang.
Well, well... who'd have thought you could find this little 7.9%er in the arse end of Isarn:)

That's a huge cock that guy in the red frock is handling.
5 cans for 12,000 won which is abouuuuuut: 60 baht per can - not bad for a nice IPA.

Matching glass as well!
You've just made me consider getting my Leo glass out for the evening!
Matching glasses are cool and make the drink taste better. They do sets here all the time when you get 4 cans and a glass for a bit less than it would cost just to buy 4 cans; actually, with the missus coming back next weekend, I have about half a dozen beer glasses to give away to try and hide my drinking over the last 2 months... :)
Isaan, a much maligned region of Thailand, does in fact have many wonderful views.
The inspiration for this view provided by Mr Bettyboo!

Mendip your eyes are going to bleed paying for just your own drinks in the UK.
#expatrealworldproblems
:)
^ I can't wait, mate.
Me mum lives about 4 miles from Thatcher's cider farm. Scrumpy on tap, half decent red wine that doesn't need ice to kill the flavour, and scrumpy.
Three weeks with no Leo or Hong Thong!
I don't reckon the cost will be bad - the drinking will be at home.
Oh, did I mention scrumpy?
Mendip i'd do a 6 pint dry rough session now. It is and still remains the only drink that made my legs melt. Respect rough cider or it'll abuse you. :)
I wondered about that dopplebock
Yeah, I know. Many pubs won't serve it unless they know the customer. It's strange, usually around 5 - 6% like many beers, but has a really strong effect! I love it!
To be honest I have a big advantage now that the wife already thinks I wet the bed... it can't really get any worse!
Mendip, i've never been convinced on the %, i reckon its higher. Quite some years ago our intra village annual cricket match which starts at 9am, finishes 2pm if it lasts that long then 0decamps to the local (one of 3 who's turn it is to sponsor said event) where the serious drinking starts.
Anyhow i digress, the schedule is the teams gather in the chosen pub at 7.30 to eat brekkie and if you so chose have a few pints.
This particular year there were a few injuries achilles, hamstrings, a broken ankle etc and me included hobbling with 3 broken toes.
The form is that players batting are obliged to quaff a pint of the medium or rough cider before going out.
It was like Lourdes out there watching the sick and disabled run 2s and 3s but Sunday lunchtime was a sad sight.
Very impressive Leo glass.
Down the bar, I sometimes (rarely) grab a Chang or Singha, but they are not my favourite - maybe you need the Thai environment to enjoy a Thai beer?
'Enjoy' doesn't come into it mate.
It's just what you do!
A pint of Kiwi "Effortless", tonight's gonna be messy...

I reckon I deserve it after the arm and leg i've lost today Christmas shopping.
:bananaman:
Hmmm..... Choices.
Just got back from the states and picked me up a nice mix of various liquor. The Tequila is from Dos Artes located in the foothills of Jalisco Mexico and are limited runs and come in a hand painted porcelain bottle. They finish it off in Sherry Casks. Aged for about 6 years. The Four Roses is an excellent Bourbon for anytime sipping. The Old Forester Statesmen is a cask Strength Bourbon. Single barrel. It too sips very well. The Glenfiddich 21 I picked up in Taipei Duty free. I saw it going to the states and picked it up on my way back. I have not had any yet but the final aging in Rum Casks sounds quite tasty. What is nice is on the way to the states you could buy just the bottle as pictured. However going home to Thailand they had a 375Ml sample bottle for free when you bought the bigger one. I will get to taste it before opening up the big one.:)

No luxury tax, no vat, no money back, no guarantee.
^...and no bill by the looks of it.
It's not only the bras that will be well-padded tonight. :)
Dilly's beers are looking very good indeed.
As are JPPR2's drinks:

You diiiiiiiiiiiiiiirty bastard.
How much for the pint of wifebeater? That looks like your local, so I'm guessing about 3.50?
Dunno to be honest. Scared to check my wallet after last nights performance of mixing ipa with cider and those
That wallet can take a fair few heavy nights out yet. ;)
