When in Australia, do as the abo's do. Cheap port, $20 for a 4 litre cask. Or go to a winery if you're up that way, and have your own 5 litre flagon filled directly from the barrel (about the same price).
You might also be surprised to know you can get beer here cheaper than in Thailand. It's brewed in Vietnam and is less than 25bht per can, by the slab.

Well as most you TD'ers know, I am not much of a beer drinker. However on occasion I do partake in a few. I have had the 2 on the left before. Pretty descent. Saw the Outlaw IPA and picked up a few. No Idea.

^ with deep fried pancakes.
^^ Shouldn't that be in the breakfast thread?
I'm not quite sure what it is, but is that some mango chutney?
^ no need for stereotyping! &, anyways, I believe that was Terry's last Grinder date; seems like it went so well that he shared the info with his mate Dilly, and that subsequent date went so well that he made Dilly breakfast...
^5 bucks.
Not bad for inside a water park

Thank goodness she's looking more like her mum every day. :)
After a heavy couple of days in Bangkok followed by a weekend fishing trip... all on top of an indulgent Christmas... I've decided to stop drinking for a while and flush the system out.
So, tonight just a solitary can of Black Rat Cider I picked up at Villa Market... just for the taste.
Very nice it is too!

And thanks for the tip on Black Rat cider. I'll give it a go next time I see it for sale.
^^ Aah, I see your point. I was thinking that one tin of cider doesn't really count as drinking, but I guess strictly speaking you could argue that it does.
None at all tomorrow.
The Black Rat, btw, was at Villa Market on Sukhumvit, down by the Phrom Phong BTS station. They also had Magners.
I'm still off it... two days and counting!
Tonight, after a 0.5km swim and exercise... just a single tin of Magners... just to compare the taste!

Your dog doesn't look too impressed.
Not today but Hanoi Beer has recently started being imported. Not a bad drop. And cheap too.

^ they do look good.
I picked up the daughter from school today and discovered that she has a 5 day holiday for Chinese New Year - she goes back to school next Wednesday.
What this technically means is that tonight is not a school night, thus releasing me from my near tea-total week of exercising and sipping soda water with lime on school nights.
Happy days... no 05:40am alarm tomorrow!

It gets better... the wife has gone to yet another funeral... no not hers... so I have a relaxing evening with my lovely daughter and the dogs!
And it gets even better... my fantastic daughter announced that she wants the leftover quiche from last night for dinner tonight... because it was so yummy! (so stick that you mockers).
So no wife, no cooking, one beautiful daughter and six lovely dogs (Anna and Vigo are also staying at the moment).
It don't get better than that!
