Tastes decent to me. The best comes from a pump in Ireland, so I hear. Its over rated stuff imho. Ok for 2 or 3 pints but couldnt drink it all day. Its hardly an appetising colour and makes your shit black if you drink enough.

Whether thats beneficial, opinions may vary

If JP's interpretation of what is now referred to as Chang Classic [???] - meaning: Chang original....domestic product renamed. Which had/has a long reputation for not being beer. Usually discussed and understood as a brew undesirable.

Whereas, Chang Export and the rather newish Chang Cold Brew would certainly be a better choice.
Anything would be more desirable than the old Chang - cleverly disguised and marketed as "Classic".

^^ well my ghast is flabbered Jeff - Chang Classic is the best of a bad bunch that must be chilled to be drinkable there is no good Thai beer, i wai the brewery every time i pass it.

Yes Chang, Leo and Singha are bottom of the barrel beers IMHO. I guess some enjoy it and more power to them. Its like drinking Corona in the US. Its what we call "Piss" beer. The Chang Cold Brew is notably better. It can be enjoyed without ice. If I had to compare it to a US beer, its probably a Budweiser or Michelob.

Recently I started trying different Craft beers here. A Few are OK. Good for 1 or 2 cold ones after busting ass in the yard.

That's a subject matter that might be expanded upon here.
Some are quite delectable - yet, are limited to in-house bar/pub consumption only [by law].

The Thai beer monopolies are considerably threatened [as they should be] by the idea of allowing decent products publicly available by way of free and open market competition.
It might come about some day.
