People like you are obviously too thick to use technology to your advantage..
but you still need to ask on a forum how to keep sand out of your phone.

are you so important, so invaluable, so insecure, so overrated that you cant be separated from your phone for an hour.

what is it with people and their phones, afraid to be left with only your own thoughts for company for 5 minutes?
I go to the beach at 10 AM for the whole day sometimes you fucking clown
you people, you head down phone addicts, you dumbed down zombies who just cant live without these things. you are worse than junkies, you buy into all that marketing nonsense sold to you by the phone companies just like the simpletons you are, like infants staring at sweets in a sweetshop, hands out, salivating grasping for more.

and for what, so you can have gps that tells you what you would know already if you lifted your ugly head and looked at a road sign, so you can take another stupid photo of a plate of spaghetti and post it on facebook, so you can broadcast another facile comment on twitter, or spend all day waiting for that fat bitch to turn down your offer of a macdonalds and a fingering after work.

like the braindead drones you are, you have become no more than pathetic slaves to the companies, pouring money into their unreliable, unnecessary trinkets, which you will only throw away and replace with a new model as soon as ordered to by the company.

as i said, you phone addicts just cant deal with being alone with your own thoughts for five minutes, you must have some silly distraction, something to take your attention away from your own thoughts, from the painful emptiness that exists in your heads down world, living in hope that someone, anyone, even a machine generated message from the phone company itself, brings to life the piece of plastic you spend all day grasping and fiddling with so as to justify your nonsensical existences.

    the world has become pathetic.
See a lot of 'em out there these days...

well , not having a lawn to shoo young people off of

my smartphone ( note 2 ) is used the most as an ebook reader , then as a device to browse the internet , then sms machine and phone

the ability to occupy yourself with something of interest when you have to wait for something is gratifying - else you would have to sit there regarding vapid wankers glowering at all the young people ignoring them
If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

trying to enter into conversation with people is a better way, although i admit that in thailand the one thing that is unobtainable is meaningful conversation.

    In moderation it is.
I gotta agree with taxexile. These plebs are everywhere nowadays walking around with their heads down like zombies not looking where they are going and bumping into every fukker.
And what are they doing exactly? checking in on facebook or asking dumb questions on tinternet about where they can hide a fukkin phone on the beach ??? .

That is Socal's intention. Socal, Shrewd Punter, Emma. Trousers down, tough love, six of the best...

Tax, mate, The new Sony has come out, and I need it. It's the same as my current Sony, but newer and it has more screen pixels (although the current screen pixels are indistinguishable to the naked eye), has faster 4g (even though I don't have a 4g connection) and it is waterproof to a deeper distance (I don't scuba, but who knows what will happen in the future???). Anyways, the good news is: I'm willing to sell you my current, virtually new, but now old because a new one is out, Sony at a massively discounted price. You could connect to TD anytime of the day or night! How much you willing to pay my friend?

Yep, great idea, the products are fandabbydoubledozy and the fans are double dozy, so you're onto a sure thing...

10,000 baht? Worth the price to relieve beach phone stress syndrome!

I have lost count of the number of people who knock into me when i am walking down the street coz they are too busy on their phones. And, funnily enough, it's me that says sorry to them.

I want the Hello Kitty bag. I did look for one for my laptop but too expensive. May have a look in Scotland at Xmas. Where I shall not take the laptop and turn off my 6 year old Nokia. Family time is more important.

I had a 2006 nokia with GPS and a 2004 PDA - but in 2011 I combined them by buying an SGS 2

then 18 months later I decided I wanted the bigger screen and bought the note 2

I have never bumped into anyone whilst walking down the street and smsing etc - because that is not my use for the device

I cannot remember being bumped into either - this sounds like a common furphy used by the "get off my lawn brigade" to justify not having a smartphone because then they would have to carry their reading glasses handily with them everywhere.

My reading glasses are on a nifty little thingy hanging around my neck or perched on my head. Keeps my grey hairs out of my eyes.

youd think some bright spark could come up with a screen that obviated the need for glasses, like the diopter adjustment mechanism that they have on camera viewfinders.

good idea but you'd have to take your gigs off to look at your phone.

I'm the proud new owner of a nice shiny £600 Galaxy Note III and i really don't want to lose it.. I have previous history of losing smartphones in Thailand.

    Few ideas already..

Bury it in the sand underneath my sunlounger.. (maybe someone will see it)

Get one of those portable safe thingies and secure it to the hair.. (maybe someone will see it and run off with teh whole sunlounger.. or hacksaw though the chair plastic
Why don't you buy a cheap smartphone? I have a Sony Xperia Tipo £80, does Facebook, Google maps etc. Leave the expensive stuff at home!
