    The Top Ten

    1. Newcastle United: 175 (Total arrests)

    2. Manchester United: 145

    3. Leeds United: 101

    4. Manchester City: 95

    5. Chelsea: 92

    6. Nuneaton Town: 87

    7. Sunderland: 71

    8. West Ham United: 67

    8. Millwall: 67

    10. Wolves: 56
The thread title is quite misleading because the arrests were not necessarily for hooliganism , and with any large grouping of people, you are bound to get a number of arrests for numerous acts .
Even Newcastle who had the most arrests , the figure equates to five arrests per match

My home town is zooming up the "banned" table, now a heady #5th. Mighty Leeds better watch out, methinks.

Huddersfield Town fifth in Championship table for banning orders - Huddersfield Examiner

    Used to be plenty of violence in the 70's and 80's. Some top terrace tunes from the "Cowshed" as well;

To the tune of "Hi Ho, Silver Lining" by Jeff Beck:

    "And it's hi-ho, Huddersfield Town,
Every where we go there's aggro
I see your Doc Martins shining,
    But I don't give a fuck
    Coz there's more of us.."
