There are lots of forums around that have all kinds of schoolmarmish moderators that will send you a polite note, enumerating the various rules, by-laws and guideline you violated. if you need guidance and a list of rules on the wall I suggest you give them a go. I did post in a thread showing the number of people who were viewing the thread .I Copy and Pasted the

I did post it for a valid reason and I cant work out why it would get deleted .
Any ideas as to why it got deleted?

it was in the news thread and your post was in reply to some of my (also deleted) posts which were deemed, probably correctly, to be irrelevant to the main subject of the thread.

the moderation here is not too intrusive, and i dont see any need for posters to be told why their posts have been deleted. friscofranklins comments spell it all out quite nicely.

I have found, with some of my posts over the years, that when a mod deletes an offensive post, he/she/it also deletes all posts relating to the original offensive post.

But they nearly always leave the very first antagonistic post that caused somebody to make a post that needed deleting in the first place.

Just like TV, you can be slightly gobby, obnoxious, pointless and rude, but the person who tells that person to go fuck himself for being an ignorant twat gets his posts deleted.

Going back to the OP. I kept debating whether or not to reply. TV, like some other forums, has paid mods. Therefore, if they delete posts, usually they give an explanation. I say usually because there is evidence that they don't always do this.

I am on a few different forums, not Thailand related, and on one, you see mods' notes in posts that have been deleted, ex Off Topic, harassing a poster, etc. They also have a point system, and once a poster accumulates enough points they are banned.

On another forum, I received a PM because of my thread title. I had two questions which would belong in two different subforums. No problem for me. BUT, whether or not mods are paid determines how much time and energy is used for different modding activities.

If you post something and it gets deleted then it is up to you to figure out the reason and change your ways.

DD would only delete extremely harsh stuff. And I mean extreme. The stuff that is getting deleted now is a joke. And there was a lot of posts that got out of hand or derailed subjects and he would just move them to MKP and put a new title on the thread and let in go on in MKP. He would also give them hilarious names.

The deletion going on lately is bordering on Thai Visa.

Who supports this ? Anyone ?

When that nightclub fire in Phuket killed a few frenchman and someone wrote "french fries", that was extreme and DD deleted it. They were just some innocent ppl that died.

I dont think you even know what TD is all about. How often do you even check in ? You sure as fuck aren't a regular.

TD is not to be taken seriously. Its all a fucking joke. Get a sense of humor. Look at comedy. How many comedy shows do you see where the comedian is rushed off stage for saying something " distasteful" ? Or offensive ?

TD has not been the same since DD passed away. Give your fucking head a shake.

Shit gets deleted left and right. Pages of posts get deleted at one time. Never did this happen under DD.
