actually, many of those apple drones waiting at the stores are apple employees, they are actually on the clock and being paid overtime. It's a marketing blitz, employees at apple are "encouraged" to stand in line and send a perception of product success.

Microsoft used to do the same marketing shit when certain Windows version were released. They would send "MS" employees like developers, sales executives, staff etc... to stand in line and create the "marketing" moment. The company would even reimburse their purchase. What a big fucking joke.

of course the point of doing this is to bring traction, so maybe 25% of those drones are actually employees and the very first in lines, the rest are just the usual "followers" who have nothing to do all day so when they see a line and a marketing moment, they jump on it to fill out their meaningless boring lives.

^Unlike you, obviously, I don't spend a lot of time at free clinics getting 'rashes' checked out. That you do might well be a refection on your lifestyle, and a wake-up call.

That was just an example that came up that I thought would pertain to your lifestyle.

I guess if you are half assed retired or something and not on the go all the time, then you wouldn't need a smartphone. Im always on the go so its nice to be able to check my stocks, check the news, surf TD , fuck around on my hockey pool when im on the move.

I have no idea what it does or how much they will charge, but it is bound to be what I want and need

Still using my old Blackberry. Good for work emails and such. Seems to have fallen well behind the smartphone curve now though.. Just hope the platform continues to operate, as I can't be arsed fucking around with new shit.

When Jobs rolled out the iRack it was surely innovative, just lacking in design & engineering,
