^ That's not what your telegraph, Guardian and Pommy commentators on the cricket telecast tonight reckon Dave.
Reckoned Pieterson is a bit of a poof, cry baby and a selfish batsman too boot.
When news emerged of Pietersen's fateful email to the England and Wales Cricket Board – the one in which he explained he couldn't work with Peter Moores – the feeling was that the coach would probably go on the basis that England needed a happy Pietersen more than a happy Moores. But England, being England, over-reacted and sacked Pietersen too, thus alienating their best player in a bid to avoid the perception that players dictate to boards – this, despite Pietersen being asked to outline his thoughts on the way ahead. Beckoned forth with one hand, he was stabbed by the other.
Paper talk that don't be fooled.
^ Never the less I reckon he is past it and has never been a team player.
I hope I am wrong though as when he is in full flight he is a joy to watch.
^ I agree with the Aussie knob.
Pieterson should either start playing or fek off back to the jungle.
I think for once Boycott got it right when he said, "This is not a team of great players, they are very good players, but as a team, they have character and guts."
As far as Petersen goes, i hope he makes a ton in the final test and knocks a few chips off the shoulders of that arrogant bastard Smith at the same time.
Petersen is a brilliant cricketer and you do not lose talent like that overnight. The final test is the time for him to come good and silence his critics.
LT i agree with your sentiments on test cricket. It is the most engaging and enjoyable team game in the world. It is enjoyed by people with intelligence, patience and good humour.

He commentates just like he used to bat. Always right even when he is wrong. The only difference is when he he was boring bowlers to death with his bat, he is now never that dull as a critic.
All of that is correct, but his criticisms are usually very constructive, he doesn't just slag off, he explains why and offers an alternative.
And from listening to him, I don't find him to be wrong often. And he is funny, dry but funny.
He speaks funny.Originally Posted by Bobcock

KP is just pissed off that Smith is miles ahead of him as a cricketer.
^ And as a team-mate.
Ever since KP come onto the scene it seems be brought along his own self styled Pieterson circus.
It really amazes me how some blokes dwell on past achievements and although Pieterson will still have his rare good digs they will be few and far between as most bowling attacks have worked him out now.Originally Posted by Bobcock
He is an out an out flamboyant fool when it comes to batting and he failed in the ashes and largely has failed in South Africa.
For a bloke who ties so much too statistics I thought you may have realised Pieterson hasn't done too much for quite a while now.
I would also go as far to say Ponting is past his best and has been for quite a long time now.
Drat missed "The Great Escape -part III"
A double century partnership between Clarke and ponting turns the game around at hobart
In an hour 4th test at Jo'burg begins
Eng 39\3
Australia 3 for 302 at stumpa with Ponting 137 and Clarke 111 both not out.
England 4 down for 47 with Collingwood bashing them around the ground with 2 fours in his first 6 balls faced. Maybe he is trying to dispel the rumour he is a dour, boring batsman?![]()
I was at the ground for this game. bladdy excellent stuff, mrsKW loved it!Originally Posted by Loy Toy

England all out for 180 with South Africa 16/0 in reply.
It's raining now with play to resume when conditions improve.
What a disaster batsmen far to aggressive paid the price.
Good pics Wills......I thought you were from Melbers not sydney.
I spent many happy hours in that ground when I lived in Australia, second best ground in the world to me....
First cricket match my wife went to she was introduced to Joel Garner.... that was funny....
BTW you didn't win the POP UP PUB did you?
