Mr Boycott wouldn't be impressed by that teaching methodology. Seems like a crap idea if you want to develop test batsman.

    ...
It's a really dumb system Betty. Designed to make sure everyone gets a bat, it not only stops youngsters from developing their skills, it encourages them to slog. Many of our past greats were playing with adults by the time they were 16/17. That cannot happen with this system, and the sooner they scrap it the better.

And Harry. Enjoy it while you can mate. It must be nice to rub salt in our wounds after so many years of humiliation. I am guessing you are one of those 'fair weather pommy cricket fans' who denied having any interest in cricket and refused to talk about it back when we were beating you.
Don't be stupid now. I took my punishment like a man. And now must you.
I hope you did Harry. It was very hard to find an English cricket fan in the 90's/early naughties.

Yep. And the way the pitch looks; a big score today could be a huge bonus.

The batsmen, at this moment, are looking fine. I feel the 2 opening bowlers are trying a bit too hard to bowl the perfect ball and get wickets; early on, just building pressure with line and length, keeping a low run rate, etc, is the way to go...

Just hope we don't just get the token 30/40 from Watson and Khawaja.

Anderson was leaking runs and has been taken off. Broad bowling too wide too.

Hughes dropped for Warner. Lyon back in - who is unfortunately is our best spinner. The team doesn't look too bad, except I don't like Haddin and think he is not only a shit keeper, but a shot bloke too. Not in Barbie's league of course, but a shit bloke, none the less.

Is that your 50 without loss... Still, a collapse is never too far away from this team!

^49, but true. But a bad day from Anderson could mean a good day for us .

Four from Rogers brings us to 53/0

    Here comes DRS....

Fuck me, a stunner, the Aussies got one right!

Bat just nicked the pad, that's what the umpire heard.

    Hang on!

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No noise, not hotspot, even to me that looks like a cock up!

You can even see the noise where the bat hits the pad and nothing when it goes past the ball.

No amount of technology is going to help you if third umpires make decisions like that.

Shouldn't be out but he is.

Very unlucky the Aussies there. Wrong call. I was watching the ball and the seam didn't deviate at all...

    2. How much is he being paid??

I am well pissed off !

They showed snicko against the flight of the ball.

The sound *definitely* came from the bat clipping the pad on the way down.

NO sound when the ball went past the bat.

I wouldn't be happy with that if, God forbid, I was an Aussie.

The Aussies had a good session, well ontop, but that doesn't show on the scorecard. A couple of quick wickets next session and a good looking day could turn sour for them; the guy that was out (the nonAussie looking geezer) is a fine player who could hang around a good while. Bad luck.

The umpire gave it out there was no evidence to overturn the decision that's how the system works deal with Australia it's the same if the boot was on the other foot.
