^ That Muhren rings a bell too![]()
^ yes, he did great for Man U.
Enjoy the short version, so you don't have to feel too much pain (like I did when we lost 9-0...):
Ipswich Town 6 -0 Manchester Utd Bailey saves three penilties - YouTube
^ Proper football that...Gary Bailey with 3 penalty saves too. Funny how you forget the losses
Gary Bailey had an excellent game, and was a really good keeper.
Back in those days, Liverpool won everything, and I think we had the best record against them. Man U were going through an average period before the Scott entered the scene.
A couple more players (and outing half a dozen...) then Mn U could be title contenders next season. Obviously City have so much depth, so hard to say who can compete with them. I just hope we beat Norwich next season (will be difficult, we are miles below the current Leeds team...).
Cycling should be banned!!!
Only if you get relegated next season!
(Have I mentioned that I went to the 1978 cup final?)
((I was also at a game at Highbury against the not so great ITFC where that donkey Adams went on a run up the pitch, and we made him look like Maradona in his prime... shameful...)))
One suspects the Cup Final could cement or kill De Gea's United future.
Just hoping he doesn't do a Big Jim. :/

That's a good photo.
I hope Man U turn up with their A game and make it a good (and competitive) match.
If I caught this fella in bed with my missus, I'd tuck him in and ask if he wanted an extra pillow, but singing?
I'm not sure about this one, Eric.

The FA Cup seemed a much bigger deal back then.
It kinda changed in the late 90s when the Champion's League started allowing 2nd place teams in, to the point now where the top 6 or 7 teams can all be off around Europe in various European cup competitions every year, so it was the biggest cup competition for all but the 2 teams that made it to the European and Uefa Cup.
My earliest memory is somehow the 3-2 extra time victory in the Liverpool v Everton final in may 87. Then after that United in 90 and the Forest v Spurs final in 91, Gazza's freekick and doing his knee.
I've always preferred Newcastle to Sunderland.
