Erling Haaland netted twice to secure our qualification to the knockout phase of the Champions League with two games to spare, with a 3-0 victory over Young Boys.
Pep Guardiola's men began brightly and took the lead after 23 minutes, with Haaland stroking in from the penalty spot after Matheus Nunes was fouled.

Phil Foden superbly doubled the lead in stoppage time before the interval, wonderfully controlling Jack Grealish's pass before bursting past the defender and curling expertly into the corner.
Shortly after the break, Haaland claimed his 15th goal across all competitions this season, smashing into the top corner from 20 yards.
Two minutes later, the visitors were reduced to ten after Sandro Lauper was shown a second yellow card.

We remained in control of the game and could have scored more, with Nunes coming close, but in the end, we took all three points, extending our unbeaten run in the competition to 17 matches.
The victory also secures progression from Group G into the last-16 of the tournament with two matches left to play.

Excellent light show pre match as well..

    Not a reject!

Many ex City academy players in the top flight nowadays .

Manchester City academy produces the best players in the world, too many for one team

Funny listening to Peppy whining about the injury time when Gillett was doing his best to help him on VAR.

Pep Guardiola says Erling Haaland has trained 'with some niggles' ahead of City's Premier League meeting with Liverpool.

Matchday Live: David James, Big Steve and Charlie Adam our star guests for Liverpool clash

The Norwegian striker picked up a knock during his nation's friendly victory over Faroe Islands last week and sat out the 3-3 draw with Scotland on Sunday.
However, Guardiola says his No.9 was involved in practice yesterday and will hopefully continue to improve ahead of the 12:30 (UK) kick-off on Saturday.

    Umm...three people isn't a trilogy.

That's Lord of the Rings, you tool.

Are there more statues outside than supporters who can name them inside?

Franny looks like he's been watching his weight.

^^It really does look totally fkin anonymous.

It looks absolutely nothing like Best Law and Charlton, if that's what you're suggesting.

    They are recognisable.

That crap looks like the man who fell to earth x3.

But a bit more camp than Bowie could manage.

I switched over and watched the Geordies get robbed in the last minute. Was never a penalty, although they should have lost 8-1 really

They've still got a slim chance of qualifying.
