I can ask questions without the need for you to prompt me. You should be more careful with your spelling and Adam said that you should "feck off".

    Incidently...a story I heard....

When the fans train arrived back into London from Brighton after the Boks, Japan game the Boks fans alighted the train first and formed a guard of honour to applaud the Japanese fans through the turnstiles at Victoria Station.

Adam would never use such language. I asked him if he thought North Walians knew anything about rugby.

    Wise thoughts.....

Rugby World Cup: England wary of Wales - Joe Launchbury

England lock Joe Launchbury has warned that Wales will revel in their underdog status when the sides meet on Saturday.

Wales' World Cup campaign has been overshadowed by injuries, with Leigh Halfpenny, Rhys Webb, Cory Allen and Eli Walker all withdrawing.

But Launchbury says the Wales coaches will ensure their players arrive at Twickenham in combative mood.

"I know Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards well from Wasps," the 24-year-old told BBC Sport.

"I know exactly the sort of stuff he will be saying to the players this week to really get them up for the game."

Wales also have injury concerns in the front row, with Aaron Jarvis, Paul James and Samson Lee all being assessed at the start of the week, while full-back Liam Williams took a knock to the hip in the win over Uruguay.

However, Launchbury is aware of what happened during the Six Nations, when an unfancied England side overwhelmed Wales in Cardiff.

"You definitely take notice of it, and it's a shame to see some of the injuries," Launchbury added.

"But we can't focus on it too much. We had a fair few injuries in the Six Nations and still performed well and got a tough win in Wales.

"We know on the flipside - with them coming to us - what their mentality will be."

Launchbury was left on the bench for England's opening 35-11 World Cup win against Fiji on Friday, but was part of a strong showing from the replacements in the second half.

Having only returned from neck surgery in May, Launchbury says he is desperate to make up for lost time.

"I've been injured for a long, long time so I certainly feel like I have a point to prove," he said.

Launchbury and number eight Billy Vunipola are both pushing for a return to the starting XV, but the Wasps player says any selection issues are out of his hands.

"That call is way beyond me, but like the whole bench we have a job to do to raise the tempo - and I felt for half an hour at the end we did that," he said.

The winner of of Saturday's clash will move into a strong position at the top of Pool A, and Launchbury says the England players are under no illusions as to the magnitude of the match.

"We know the size of the game and we know what a great challenge it is for us, but I think we are really excited by it."

I'd like to see Wales win that one. They're definitely capable, England haven't looked all that convincing to me.

Neither have Wales...but the fact is that none of that will matter on Saturday.

The funny thing is the patronising way the English tell us that we can win..... like Japan could win over SA.... sure they are favourites as they are at home, but there is little basis for the tag otherwise.....

We are bigger, more experienced and in competitive games over the last ten years we are even..... as we are over history.... but that's not the English mentality... they are like the australians at cricket.... they forget the defeats and only remember how the 'usually' win....

It's going to be a tough test....

This is not our best side.... but this is what I would start with on Saturday....

    15 Sanjay Wills

    14 Cuthbert
    13 Scott Williams
    12 Roberts
    11 North

    10 Biggar
    9 Phillips

    1 Jenkins
    2 Owens
    3 Samsung
    4 Charteris
    5 AWJ
    6 Lydiate
    8 Falatau
    7 Warbs

    16 Baldwin
    17 James if fit
    18 Francis
    19 BBBD
    20 Tips
    21 Davies
    22 Priestland
    23 Amos

I really feel we need to start this game with experience..... we can't go down early or we won't recover.....

Phillips will be out to prove something.... he's been his best in the past after a fall from grace.

Cuthbert is weak at the moment, but he has experience and May won't want him coming at him at pace.....

5/3 split on the bench........... I'd like to see Tips on for Lydiate sooner rather than later..... maybe the same with Amos.....

New Zealand actually played well; they looked a class outfit; the class outfit of the WC so far. Argentina are a very good team, probably one of the top 5 in the tournament thusfar (maybe top 3) and they will beat most other teams in this tournament. Who would wanna be playing them in the quarters of semis?

I don't see Wales as the underdogs at all. I see them as being the favourites, and England might win. Anyone who says that England will win, or suggests that Wales might have a chance of winning is a Rugby ignoramus that has the memory of a gold fish. This match isn't about the rwc. It is England v Wales. No more motivation needed for any players on either side.

If I was Wales coach, 'Tips' would be one of the first names on my team sheet, he's in great form and must be highly pissed off he isn't first choice after his recent performances.

The England Wales game is a one off.
The two front rows are both inconsistent and misfiring at the scrum. Locks are evenly matched and that Welsh back row is definitely the top dog.
My feeling is that England will target Philips and although England backs will see less possession, they will do more with it.
On paper the Welsh backs have a great reputation but North Roberts and Cuthbert have been off the boil recently.
It begs the question, have the injuries may have upset the balance of the side in key areas and the gel is just not as good as it was?

Yous in hope rather than expextation, an England supporter.

I feel similarly, but frankly, at home against a depleted Wales (although they still have more top class players than we do), with quite a contrast in depth of bench players, we should just edge it.

I suspect the Kiwis would relish such a confrontation. Another opportunity to avenge that recent defeat.
