Ahh, the good old English summer.

Wasn't it a couple of weeks ago for about 4 days?

    Nah ... that's Scotland.

England has 4 days, one of which is blistering and over 30C for which everyone if diving in fountains and shirtless in Hyde Park.

Then it drizzles for near on a week.

After that there are 2 days when the Sun shines brilliantly again and the/you Poms believe that Summer is back again only
to go to bed on the night of the second day and awake to drizzle again.

And it's remains in that miserable mode until the Sun starts to set not long after it rises and it's dark at 3pm.

It's those two extra days of sunshine you get that differentiates England from Scotland.

Those 2 days are what gives England hope that this year will be different. Scotland knows there is no hope
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

its memories like that will have me homesick and sobbing for four seasons in one day in a few years. Although with all the fuking about with visa, regs and whims i may just do summer in the UK (5 days) and 170 days in France (If the UK are not classed as crims post Brexit and i lose me house there) with 3 month Thailand and the rest begging in Siem Reap or go funding me in Vietnam.

Drizzle is what does your head in when you're back in the UK. That and the 70 mile an hour winds in March.

At least you can play cricket in the wind though. ;-)

Yes, because edging a ball that's blowing all over the place is good fun.
