According to this article , there will be a Return fight Froch V Groves ,Its safe to say this fight alone will fill any stadium in the UK Carl Froch stops George Groves in the ninth round to successfully defend super-middleweight titles - Telegraph

Groves clearly stepped up and did better than expected. Good for him; maybe he can take a fight against a top world ranked foreign fighter.

After that fight BB the mega money will come from the return and that,s what the game is all about , I found the remarks at the end of the Telegraph Article in my post127 quite interesting too, Another Domestic fight that will make mega dough is Scott Quigg V Carl Frampton ,Scott comes from my home town and a nicer kid you could never meet ,having said that I take Frampton to beat him if they ever get it together .

I thought Manny had most of the speed but not the power of a few years ago. Fair enough Rios is one tough kid, but Pacman used to stop people (and future Hall Of Fame tough guys) like that; Cotto, Moralez, Barrera, Margarito, etc.
Rios absorbed a hell of a beating though, and was still game at the end. Hope he got well paid, because he stars in these type of fights all the time, and it won't be a long career.

Rios got 4 million Manny gets 18 million, Manny pays no taxes as the fight was in China and he does not pay taxes there. Rios as a Yank is taxed.

Now Now Dobella how do you know the Mancs was booing Groves? maybe it was the fiercely patriotic chip on their shoulders Welsh ,I'm a Manc and have never booed any one in the over 55 years I've been watching "the noble art" I never really support any one ,only after the fight, only then will I give my opinion who was the better man on the night , got to admit I fancied Froch to do a job on Groves and said so , but there is nothing like a controversial ending to a fight to draw in the fans and make the boxers possibly more money than the first fight , and Boy do they deserve it

As a Manc who could not give a toss either way about Soccer, I would have thought that hell will freeze over before hundreds of Thousands of "City" fans would contemplate Cheering for Moyes!

Cable TV operator here set up a couple of movie-size screens in two of the biggest refugee centers in the main typhoon-damaged areas and showed the fight live. Good on 'em. Small thing, but when you have nothing, a small thing counts.

He does have God-like status there, doesn't he? I was in Angeles for one of his fights and they were showing the blessed thing at every venue that had a screen.

And a happy result which hopefully will have taken people's mind of things for a short while.

It's a shame that such a good fight (Froch V Groves) ended with such a bad decision. Fair play to both the warriors. None of the two of them were fault.

Yep. About an hour before the fight, things go dead quiet. No cars, bikes, people on the street. Even the dogs stop barking. Whole country shuts down. He's the one and only Filipino athlete with international star status.

Just watched a recording of the "finish" ,what a load of bollocks, the kid was firing back when the Ref jumped in ,here it is
