^^Yeah, he made a few good signings and season before last it all went swimmingly. This season he signed a load of shite players and we were lucky to not get relegated, again.

TBH, I think if we have a poor start to next season he'll be up the road with his P45 in hand...but, that's our problem; We've gone through a ridiculous amount of managers in recent times, and as soon as it starts going tits up they're sacked and another muppet is put in their place.

Suppose that's football nowadays in general, but without the investment needed to invest in world class players you just can't compete on a level playing field.

That's his nick name or are you being sarcastic? I can't tell.

Well The two clubs have agreed a £15 Million pound fee, but Carroll hasn't decided if he wants to stay yet.

The Hammers are expected to go for the Dutchman Wilfried Bony if Carroll says no.

I notice Carlton Cole is on his way as well.

You must be made up to see your team in the premiership mate. It's going to be a tough old season for you that's for sure. Can't see you doing as well as the Swansea boys but I hope you make a go of it and stay up for a few seasons.
yeah, well made up mate.just hope i can get back around crimbo to catch a few games.

The remaining 8 years on his contract probably say otherwise.

Martinez leaves Wigan as we all expected he would.

    Everton have already approached him.

i follow the manager martin o'neil.
he was thrown out of sunderland to be replaced by the psycho de caneo.
and it looks like all o'neil's work will be flushed down the loo.
i hope he finds a club with directors who have some back-bone.

I support Everton, well, follow them from afar.

Not sure about Martinez, not in a negative way or anything. I just don't know if he can keep us moving in the right direction. That's probably from not knowing a lot about him though. Wigan fan's certainly aren't blaming their relegation on him so whi knows. Is he worth a punt? Probably. Would I be surprised if he didn't do well? Nope.

Anyway we've more important things to sort out. Like that fucking badge.

If you call plummeting to the relegation zone his "work", then getting flushed is probably the best thing for it.

They did that at Arsenal. Apparently it's all down to them not being able to copyright the old one.

What's that in the middle, it looks like the Tin Man's head from the Wizard of Oz.

I can understand your lot wanting to try and push on further up the table. I can understand it 100%.

It's day dreaming though isn't it?

Effectively you've got rid of a man who has got you up and kept you up over several years to have a punt on what? Finishing 9th at best?

They are probably describing it as ambition when it's abject stupidity.

I loved Sparky as a player, but jesus what a crap manager he has always been.

It's very bad for a club when there is hostility between the fans and manager before a ball has even been kicked. It's like starting a season on -3 points, and Stoke can hardly afford that.

Can't see this going well for them.

He did OK with Wales and alright at Blackburn but his ego is fucking mental. He thinks he's much much better than he is.

As for the fans not liking him ha ha ha they wanted Pulis out and now they've got this prick. It's almost fucking poetic.

    Something had to be done.
Pulis didn't help himself by his dire tactics, particularly away from home.
Stoke have been the lowest scorers (last season worse in the league, this year only QPR scored less), had fewest shots on goal, fewest completed passes, most fouls etc etc etc.
This from a team that has spent 100 million quid since promotion (third highest spend in the division) on players with a much lesser resale value.

The club has regressed since the FA cup final in 2011.
Skillful players have been dropped after personal fueds with Pulis, he has still not purchased a full back in 14 transfer windows - the club plays centerhalfs at fullback.
The players are balled at like children every match non stop ( GO on John, son), and hauled off if they disobey instructions.
Pulis by his own admission insisted that away match points were a bonus.

All of this was acceptable as a means to an end for a couple of seasons, the promise being the style would change.
It did change - he replaced wingers with midfielders, and a swift skilfful attack with the statuesque Crouch - fine with wing service, and there's the rub.

He had to go, and the club did the sensible thing waiting until the end of the season, a season wich saw us with our lowest points tally.

Hughes is now the boss, and he is a twat - lets wait and see.

    Gooaaarrrrn Stoke.

Chelsea have all but agreed a deal to sign Andre Schurrle, the German striker from Bayer Leverkusen. Not a signing I'm that impressed about to be honest.

The links with Suarez and Madrid are still quite strong. That wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Would leave the Scousers in big trouble I reckon.
